I got married 9/2/95, and my wife and I went to St. John. Arriving in St. Thomas to take a ferry to St. John, we were to meet a guide. We did, and he said "surprised you came man...biggest hurricane since Hugo comin' this way" At that point, we had no choice but to stay, so we took the ferry to St. John and (long story short) - found our villa but had to break in (real estate managers had boarded up and left). We stocked up on essential supplies (beer, liquor, and some food) and rode it out. I have a picture of my wife cooking eggs on a propane grill in 70+ mph winds. We had to keep the lid shut and only lift it to scramble the eggs. He dress kept blowing up in the wind. Ah...good times. We spent the 2nd night of our honeymoon UNDER a mattress in a large closet (poured concrete walls). We had some flowers from the island and a bottle of vodka with us under the mattress. Mark Pics or it didn't happen It’s true, great conception story! 😲 Bahahahahaha!

What Boomzilla said except that New Orleans has had the most rain, (year to date) that it’s ever had, so the ground is already super saturated. Also, I don’t believe for one moment that our governor being of the Democratic Party has anything to do with the aid that will follow if we need it. I pray to God that we don’t but it’s not looking good at the moment. I’d also like to thank any and all prayers for our cities, state and country that will possibly be hit with these hurricanes. I wish they would just die in the gulf and spare everyone. I’m currently taking a lunch break and will return to putting everything outdoors, inside. My friends further south then myself, I’ll be praying for you and your family to be spared, there a safe haven here if you need it. 🙏

Thanks DavidR we are good! Sally took a look at Boomzilla and how mad he would be so she hightailed it east! At 2-4 mph. LOL Really happy she didn’t come this way, I’m still cleaning up the mess Laura left.

Slowly getting rid of Hurricane Laura! Nice rain this afternoon so I’ve no worries about the forest. Sitting on my back porch. Isn’t there a song somewhere in all of this? LOL

This coming weeks forecast. May be the cost of all the storms we’ve had.
