I have created this thread in the Emotiva speaker review section but as most or some know I am not the best when comes to fancy review wording hahaha, here it is short and sweet. WOW!!!! is the first thing that came to mind, I sold off my Monitor Audio RX series speakers and XPA-1L's and went with three Stealth 6 speakers and the clarity from these is absolutely fantastic, I haven't done much listening yet but from what I have heard I am very happy with my purchase. I put on the Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds Blu-ray and it was just cleaner and deeper sounding, the acoustic guitar sounded better than I have ever heard from this disc and even the crowd cheers were more "there" if that makes sense haha, like I said I'm not great with expressing through words but everything sounded like it was actually live in my room, more so than it has sounded previously with my other gear and speakers Conclusion so far, I am very excited to listen to more and more material whether it be 2ch or movies and I now have IMO the best sounding 2ch system in my house to date and these will not be leaving anytime soon I am not done setting up the center Stealth yet as you can tell but in due time I will have them all working and test out some movies , I will then update as I am able to get some surround material playing. Couple of photos........

Those look so sexy. I'd love to try a pair of Stealths some day. I can't remember ever reading a poor review on them, everyone seems to like 'em. Great stuff, Chad. I was wondering how the switch from passive speakers to active monitors would suit you. Apparently, very well. Enjoy!! EDIT: You have great photo-taking skills too.

I find it hard to imagine the reasons for a poor review on the Stealths. Maybe they're not everyone's cup of tea and perhaps those that covet electrostatics or horns may not like them but even so... these speakers are simply superb at doing what they were designed to do.

It's hard to tell from the photo but the speakers actually gets wider from the front to the back, for anyone who hasn't seen them in person it sure adds to the already great look. Chad

Chad Are you sure about that? I thought they were the same width front-to-back? I don't own these speakers and am only going from memory when I saw them at Emofest. Can you please measure and confirm? Thanks.

Yes. They have a trapezoidal shape. Roughly 8-3/4" wide up front, 9-3/4" wide in back, 13-5/8" tall, and 11-1/4" deep.
A LOT more folks should be snapping these up at $349 a piece factory renewed. Knock another 10% off for eClub members.

Very nic,i am thinking of trying mine in my home theather also, but will have to get XLR-RCA adpts for them to work with UMC-1 also don't like the fact that you have to turn each speaker on and off all the time. There is no standby mode

Thank you

Welcome to the club. I had the Stealth 8 for the front and 6 for the surrounds and was nothing short of stunning. I am really shocked that more people aren't switching to a fully active system. I know it means you have to run power to the speaker locations, but with so many people already calling out electricians to run speaker wires, why not just run in wall balanced lines and power? Lonnie Funny that you mention this,I did all the electrical work in my basement theater, and without realizing I have outlets where all my speakers are setup,So now maybe I will wait for the stealth 88 to come out and switch too stealth 8s, Or the fine people and GREAT techsand innovators over there could make a Stealth 66?

I purchased a pair of Stealth 6 over a year ago. I don't have a camera and don't use a cell phone to take a photo but because I live in Earthquake country, I ended up with a pair of these stands (VideoSecu). They have clamps to hold the speaker in place with adjustable height and tilt. Unfortunately, the VideoSecu adjustable stand with clamps will not work for the Stealth 8 because that model is too big. The one thing that bothered me was the piering LED on the front of the monitor. I cured this by ordering DimLights. They cut out approximately 80% of the brightness. Since I first ordered the Stealth 6, I've been wondering why I didn't get the Stealth 8 instead. So, I've been sitting here day after day with only two monitor speakers in my home theater, while waiting for the Stealth 8 to go on sale. I had planned on moving the Stealth 6 to surround duty. The problem I'm finding is that I have no place to put a Stealth 6 or 8 vertically. So, I'm hoping that Emotiva does offer a horizontal speaker at some point because I'd hate to be without a center channel speaker. Otherwise, I may go in a different direction and, GOD forbid, back to passive speakers again!
