Instead of waiting for the Dirac license code, does anyone know if we can use the 14-Day Trial from Dirac with the XMC-1 and Dirac kit? www.dirac.se/en/online-store.aspx I might give it a try this weekend. Not with the XMC.

Yeah, I got mine too. But don't see any link to the Mac version. If you just do the software download after registering, you get a PC version. Don't have any legacy PCs to use that on... Update: According to Emotiva tech support, there is no Mac version as of yet. Bummer. They did say the 30-day trial period would be postponed until the Mac version was out. No Mac version? ETA ?

I got it going fellas and it will be worth your wait. Very easy to setup and use. I was impressed with the process and am simply so happy with the results.

My first impression was that the clarity of all 7 channels are just plain stunning. I will admit I wasn't expecting this much of a difference (as I've been a critic of automated room correction softwares) between my REW/PEQ and DIRAC results, but it is more than readily apparent in my room. With a blu-ray movie, the center channel is where I immediately noticed a difference, but once I focused on the other channels they to were cleaned up(as in not muddy and I didn't think they were muddy to begin with). Music from my ERC-2 is where I'm completely astonished, CD's that were rather dull and flat are now like looking through a window pain that was just "windexed". This is exactly what I remember from what the DIRAC rep, Michael, at EmoFest 2013 had run on the two channel demo. Now that I've had plenty of time listening to the DIRAC results in my room, I've compared my previous REW results to DIRAC's by toggling back and forth in the speaker pre-sets and my preference by far is DIRAC. I must admit I was a bit skeptical that a "set-it-and-forget-it" software could sound this good, but as Flavio/flak said, not only does DIRAC correct for frequency response but also impulse response, and to this skeptics ears and subjective opinion, I am now and will be exclusively leaving my speaker pre-set on DIRAC. I've been told in the past that my opinions are biased when it comes to the XMC-1, well biased or not, my ears and subjective opinion are my own and I do hope that each of you experience the much improved room correction in your home theater as I have in mine. I do look forward to hearing everyone's subjective opinions on DIRAC.

So nice to finally read some posts from people happy with Dirac.
The mood about the XMC has felt like a funeral for a long time, even with the happy users. It was like somehow people were waiting for the other shoe to drop. The what if game seemed to be constant.
Nice to see that things are finally looking up!
I bet Dan is finally breathing a sigh of relief!! Happy Friday!

Jim, sorry for waiting so long on giving my brief thoughts but I've had a rather long 70 hour work week, and every night this week after getting home, all I could muster was picking up the remote and playing the "Big Band" music that I've been into for the past few months. I will add that I do believe jazz/big band/classical music really shine with DIRAC.

I got the Christmas tree up with all the other interfering objects that go with Christmas moving the furniture and all that and it still sounds great. some times it sounds like I have a speaker in the tree. set up was so easy plugged the XMC into the wireless router used a wireless laptop Dirac found the XMC and connected on its own. from there setup was a walk in the park, never had to open the manual

I did read the manual just to be thorough before running DIRAC, but everything for me was a breeze from signing in, to my laptop/DIRAC software immediately recognizing my XMC-1 on my network and its 7.2 setup, to setting the microphone sensitivity/channel outputs, to the nine microphone measurements and finally the downloading of the DIRAC filters to the XMC-1. Great to hear of your success and now it's time to enjoy the fruit's of your labor(if you can call it labor)!
