Airmotiv 3B's 1) They have a Line Input (which is perfect for connecting to the output on a TV) as well as a Bluetooth Input. 2) Switching between inputs is manual. (Yeah, we do sort of expect them to be sitting in front of you on a desk.) 3) No remote control... sorry. 4) They do actually sound very good (for what they are). You also might be surprised how good the bass sounds when they're sitting right in front of you on a desk. The do make a most excellent little computer speaker. Incidentally, for an idea of size, I've attached a picture of an Airmotiv 3B sitting on top of an Airmotiv 4s for comparison. Thanks Keith, any idea if a small sub is in the works to partner with these smaller speakers? |

Forgive my ignorance' but....
If you connect to these over Bluetooth where is the D-A conversion happening? In the speaker?
If you connect to the line in does it just pass the signal through to the amps?

Okay, which is it? On the "Features" tab, it states that they have 2.5" long throw woofer. On the "Specs" tab, it says 3".
Sorry Dan, this product gets a giant YAWN from me. The market is saturated with little desktop systems. Where's the USP-1 replacement, subwoofers, passive speakers, turntables, tube amps, etc? To me, and with all due respect, this is a waste of time and effort.

Some measurements would be nice. Do they play down to 80hz? Lower maybe?
If somehow they magically hit 60hz @ +-6db you've got me sold.

A pair of these on top of the desk with a sub woofer beneath, sounds perfect. If they were available I would have grabbed them rather than the Airmotive 4's.

These are tempting. I do need to find a new speaker setup for my computer. I had been thinking about Airmotiv's, but I like that these have a volume control built in.

Considering what I see around in the stores, these Airmotiv 3Bs are going to be on allots of desks real soon. Again can't wait to hear them.

Mine arrive Wednesday ! Will let the group know my impressions.. Looking forward to the small footprint in my office .. Might try them out in the bedroom with the TV- I hardly watch tv at all but anything is better than TV speakers ugh!

I might watch as much as 2 hours of tv per day. Most of my day is music. For both I use my main setup in my sig line. It sounds very good - just can't wait for my second SongTower to show up.

Sorry say but the Audioengine's sounded like cardboard boxes to me,owned the
Airmotiv 6 for a while, they were on different league obviously.

It is so funny how my buddies try to turn me onto, or try to get me excited at some Bluetooth speaker. Good luck there. I really want to hear the 3B, because frankly, there really is little I like from what I have to sell for sure.
