I just don't see the value in these, hell they didn't even post the frequency response on these (unless I missed something). It's also looks like it's $200 per speaker? Sorry but that seems really expensive for what they are especially when they are competing with something like the Audioengine A5+ which have more features, larger drivers, and sound great for the same price. Hope I'm wrong but those speakers are in a tough segment.

Hope I'm wrong but those speakers are in a tough segment. It's $199 per pair if I read that correctly. The Airmotiv's are priced per pair, but the Stealths are priced individually. I've heard the Audioengine speakers at an audio show and was not impressed in the least. The Airmotiv 4's I have are way better. But then not having heard the 3's who knows how they sound but if the sound quality/character is consistent with the rest of the line, I imagine they must sound pretty darn good.

You are right, they are for a pair which makes my statement kind of moot and really changes everything. It would be interesting to hear them and if they are decent could really shake up that segment of the market. Sadly they don't have the AMT style tweeter but at that size I guess it's not surprising.

Since these are called 3b, then perhaps there is a regular AirMotiv 3 coming out without Bluetooth.

This is a really interesting product that I think will help emotiva break into the mainstream market. They promise emotiva quality which has so far always been audiophile grade but at a very low price...low enough for those interested in a ipod boom box. I am looking for an ipod dock but it has to be able to fill up a really large room. In this case, it would be my wife's school room for teaching. Though the airmotiv 4s MAY have the capability to do so, I doubt a 2.5 inch bass driver will have the power to do so. So this won;'t be for me. But.....depending on its bass response in a small room, I may be able to use it as a compact speaker system for my second room, I hope to convert into a teaching area. I shall hang back and wait for a user feedback on its power capabilities and bass.
For a regular person that just wants good sound...maybe even somebody looking to replace their soundbar...this may be a good option for them!
However, I'm confused why this is marketed under emotiva pro as I doubt professionals would use this setup. It really seems geared towards the mainstream.

Hmm..........not sure what the point is going down to an even smaller set of drivers than those offered in the 4's. Surely there will be even less bass response. I would put these on par with the Klipsch Pro Media THX speakers I have connected to my PC. They are equipped with a 3" woofer and 3/4 horn tweeter. Add in the fact that my Klipsch came with a powered sub at a $99 price tag...I think these will be a hard sell.

I'm hoping that it will have a better sound quality than the promedia but I think it may be too much to hope for a whole lot of bass.

Anyone else catch amp is class d vs ab on rest of the line? I did. Quite interesting. "Integrated 30 watt x 2 Class D amplifier. Efficiently delivers clean sound, even at high volume and with complex music."

Me too. I can see Emotiva offering more products with Class D amplification over the next couple of years. The new Ultra series, in particular, seems like a possible candidate due to the advertised 1RU spec. As someone mentioned already, it's curious there is no typical FR spec listed. That would at least give us a hint at the capabilities. I'd be surprised if they reach lower than 80 Hz at -3 dB. In any case, I'm sure they sound great considering their size.

Here are some of the prototypes for the subwoofer As you can see they were aiming for a compact size to complement the 3b. So it's most interesting thing is that the subwoofer can act as the listeners room by having him sit inside the bassmotiv pictured below.

Yes correct, that is the pair as one has the blue tooth and other intelligence inside. Love to know how they sound. Very curious.
