We went and saw the recent Hunger Games the second Wednesday after it's release, in IMAX 2D, and there were only 4 people in the entire theater. My wife and I, and 1 other couple. I suggest people who want to avoid crowds do the same.
No doubt my home theater sounds better than regular theaters, but with IMAX I have to make comparisons. My sound is clearer and more refined, but the shear size of an IMAX theater lends itself to the sound being very immense and very immersive. And I think to truly compete on that immense I would need 4 subs, with 2 more in the back corners. There is no doubt IMAX done right can be quite amazing.

Sorry, I do not get into these types of movies. I would much rather watch a drama/adventure like American Sniper, No country for old men or something. I am not a gamer either. Absolutely does nothing for me. By the way, I hit pretty hard for a "woman"... No need to apologize for what you like or don't like. There are plenty of people who don't like Sci-fi for various reasons. By the way, I absolutely can not stand TEA. Hate the stuff. Cold, hot, this flavor, that flavor; no matter, I hate it all. Makes me want to hurl just thinking about the crap. El Yucko!

The Force Awakens was not photographed in 3D but post processed which, I think, always looks bad and should end as a practice. Just seems like a money grab. Movies like Avarar, Hugo, The Martian were actually captured by 3D cameras. realorfake3d.com

I agree with you and don't want to know anymore than I do now. P.S you and Novisnick are dangerous and I will not be messing with you guys.

Saw the Hunger games the other week and it was awesome in 2D.

All this talk of 3d. Just imagine a virtual reality 3 dimensional movie where you can walk around inside the movie and watch it from any angle you want. How about having your own virtual lightsaber and joining in. Imagination is a wonderful thing.

How about having your own virtual lightsaber and joining in. Imagination is a wonderful thing. That's coming. Holographic movies where the viewer can actively partake in the action. Even select different roles and select from alternative endings, etc. I do believe we'll see that in the next decade or so.

Just imagine how much more annoying that would be with people not only talking and getting up to block you and being on their cell phones, but also pointing light sabres at you.
