As do any site you have accounts with or visit. This board has three trackers on it. The only way to protect your info, interests, and habits is to never get on a computer.

I went through all the settings first thing after updating to Win 10 last August. I dumped Cortina first thing. I shut off all sharing mentioned in that article. If everyone else wants to share their files folders pics videos etc have at it. I won't be sharing. I couldn't disable Microsoft Edge - their 'new' browser but I check regularly that FireFox is my default browser. The Edge program seems to be an extension of the Win 10 operating system - much like Internet Explorer has been for many years.
I have a hard firewall built into my router and I also use a combo software firewall & anti-virus program with ID protection etc that has never let a virus or hacker in to my computer. Last time I had a virus on my computer was about 10 years ago - I had Norton anti-virus at the time. I dumped it pronto!
I quit helping friends and family that can't seem to get up the $30 per year it cost to protect their computers yet love to visit social media sites. I have taken the time to teach them how to use FireFox - and the most important add-on IMO - NoScript. Now that they've seen the light I don't have to pull their hard drives - scan it on mine and rid it of all the viruses and key-loggers etc. If you use FireFox and don't know what NoScript is you should take the time to find out.

When using Firefox the add-ons NoScript, uBlock Origin, and Ghostery is a great trifecta.

My latest build still has Win 7 Home Premium x64 on it. I just registered the copy today. Before I let it 'upgrade' to Win 10 I'll create a dual boot using a separate hard drive. I haven't decided on which version of Linux I want to put on it. Any suggestions?

This is here-say and there is no proof. Also this is not an iMac, it's a phone. I would never own a PC, they are junk. I had 4 or 5 of them and everyone of them was plagued with trojan, keyloogger and spyware issues. I got a mac 5-6 years ago and it's been like a breath of fresh air. Never a problem. Ever

Hate to inform you, but iPhone has been sacked by more data leaks than Microsoft Phones, Blackberries or Android phones combined. Many of them also, were aimed at a lot of high profile people too.
I'd take a PC over a proprietary old-tech apple computer any day. The only application I've found Mac's tend to excel at is Photo Manipulation, other than that anything they can do, a PC can do just as well for a fraction of the price.
