Hmm how does one connect on of these subs to the mini a-100 amp, but also keeping the ability to co tell the volume of the sub with the co tell volume of the amp? I believe they're gonna be between the pre-pro and the amp.

When I use the volume knob on the sub or my computer the volume of the sub lowers or increases. If I were to use the RCA inputs on the amp I would lose this function to lower or increase the volume of the sub with my computer. Looking at the back of the sub there are no high level outputs so how would I set it up to where I can use my computer to control the volume of the sub?

Computer --> sub RCA input --> sub RCA out --> Amp

Hmmm, looks like I'd have to run RCA out from my XDA-2 to the sub, then RCA to either 3 pin XLR or 1/4" TRS from the sub to my Stealth 8's. Hopefully the Airmotiv sub line has balanced inputs and outputs. Hopefully they also come out with a 15" version that goes down to 20Hz faithfully.

Though I don't need full range sound down to 20 hz, my current towers with the room treatments have had their bass weakened. So two 12 inch or 10 inch units may be just the ticket I am looking for to get say a strong-ish 30 hz in my room and provide some foundation up to 50 hz to get more authority at a realistic price. Also attractive is the size. Hopefully these are relatively compact as I don't have a lot of space. To get two 10 inch Emotiva units for $500 is not a bad deal! Looks to be about a foot and a half cube. My other option is powersound audio's sealed s15 subwoofer which undoubtedly will give me full range sound. But it is $$$ Needless to say this seems like it would be a perfect match for the T1's. I personally wouldn't buy them without a pair of either size!
Ony critique - why make the lower band on the crossover 50hz?! At least a 30 hz would allow more control.

One of the PR surrounds on my DIY Stryke AV12 w 2x15 PR just went out and I'm on the hunt for a new subwoofer (nobody is making PR surround repair kits). The upcoming Airmotiv S12 looks interesting with: $699/long throw 12” woofer/12” passive radiator. My existing sub is a 3sq cube and has output down to 17.5 hz. The S12 with 12 PR likely won't get that low but with room gain it could be solid to 20hz, which would do well in my smallish room and it will have a smaller footprint.

The amp is no longer class A/B per their spec page. This is what is says: Electrical Specifications: Amplifier type - High efficiency Class D. Amplifier power - 300 Watts RMS I believe Emotiva made some changes to bring the prices down from the announced prices. In this price range, they compete with the likes of HSU VTF-1 MK3, RSL Speedwoofer 10S, etc. Honestly, there aren't that many quality options in this price range. Looking forward to seeing some reviews.

Looking forward to seeing some reviews. The subs that were posted are not the airmotiv line. The BasX line is a different product class so it's hard to say what the airmotiv line up will go down to. <-Maybe I missed a podcast or something somewhere where they decided to completely change the product name, line, and features. The BasX subs don't even have XLR inputs. Went back to the 11.30 podcast The 11.30 podcast appears to still reference the Airmotiv Subwoofers and BasX Subwoofers separately. They indicated that they would be up shortly after the BasX line on the website in that podcast. I'd say if you are really looking for the airmotiv line which is supposed to be up here shortly up to 15" you should wait a little bit. They said Friday which is today but I don't see them posted as of yet. They were definitely pretty clear though on the two lines being available here shortly with the larger models up for pre-sale and ship in January.

What lukeh said. Dan definitely said the Airmotiv subs would be up on the website today (they are not there...yet). He also said the BasX subs would be on the site yesterday, and they were. The names of the BasX subs seemt to be what the Airmotiv subs were advertised as being back at CES. Once they are up, we'll know what the actual names will be.
I'm interested in the 12 or 15 inch Airmotiv sub, so we'll see what they look like once posted on the site.

I do like the BasX subs quite a bit but I wish they were front ported.

Rear porting provides better coupling into the room and also masks any possible port noise.
These are fantastic subs for the money and very well built. You're going to be very pleased. We've benchmarked them against all of our popular competition and I think these are going to be the new "go to" subs for real performance and unbeatable value.
Wait and see... 😎

One other point to make...
You can pick up TWO BasX Subs for the essentially the price of one of our most direct competitiors product..
Talk about bang for the buck. The real world improvement that running multiple subs makes is truly amazing. I always recccomed two subs for HT use. It really improves imaging and reduces localization effects. Also, when running multiple subs, the response is smoothed out and the subs are not working nearly as hard.
Everything just gets better! 😁

I'd never touch a BASH powered product again. We learned the hard way with those guys... but hey, it is cheap! At least in the beginning...
