I can't wait to hear the new speakers. The Air Motion Transformers and all that Airmotiv goodness happening. Your amp, or Receiver with these new speakers. Fantastic pricing, and awesome build. This is very exciting news, and the best part is, is that there is something for everybody.

I wonder of I am reading that right because the prices on the speakers looks like an amazing deal. Beautiful high end looking towers for under $700 a pair?

Thanks for posting the video interview and the new subs look to be a winner. Kudos to the rest as well. These may be some good subs. Two drivers and extra watts. Emotiva has been making some good drivers lately. These are there drivers. A good driver does make a difference !

Does Emotiva build their own drivers or source them from other company's for their speakers?

Does Emotiva build their own drivers or source them from other company's for their speakers? Dan has said they are proprietary. Look up what that means.

I don't personally care if Emotiva designed the drivers or not but that does not actually answer the question. Another company could have designed the drivers only for Emotiva for example.

Another company could have designed the drivers only for Emotiva for example. Absolutely it is important to know who designs the drivers. You may never find out who is creating the parts and assembling them. That may be kept secrete. Just look around you and ask yourself if you know where all the things you see are made and who made them.

Just look around you and ask yourself if you know where all the things you see are made and who made them. I'm not sure why it matters who did what parts of the design. It is not rare for companies to hire contractors or other companies to do some part of a project. It is on them to make sure the end product is up to their companies standards. I could see some argument for knowing more about the manufacturing. If this is something that people care about I'll respect that though.

I was mainly curious if Emotiva had an R&D facility where they were designing, building and testing their own speaker drivers. It is likely someone else takes over on production for Emotiva after the driver design is nailed down.

Is everyone aware that Emotiva is a Manufacturer ? Of every component in the system? I would bet good money that some component in the system is purchased by Emotiva. Once upon a time Tektronix made their own resistors but now they are made with such precision cheaply (at low cost) that it is not worth making their own resistors.
