I did not know about the Emersa Line until Dec 8, 2015 when information about them showed up on AVSForum. When did you find out ?  The successor to the UMC-200 was scheduled for late 2015. Perhaps this is the Emersa, perhaps I am mixing Things up - anyway, neither processor showed up in 2015 or early 2016.  There is no schedule. There never has been. Everyone here knows that. |

Yeah, I always get a kick when a company promises something in a particular quarter and everybody on the Internet assumes that means the first day of the quarter instead of the last day of the quarter. -tm Everybody on the Internet ? That's a lot of people !  |

Looks like the new EMP-1 will not have 7.1 analog inputs from looking at the back of the unit. I was hoping I would be able to use the high end dacs from the analog outs of my Oppo 105. I like the size of the new amps but they look really wide. I doubt they would fit in the Salamander Archetype 5.0 rack.

I'm surprised no one has noticed that Emotiva is becoming the KIA of electronics. Great observation AND commentary! We shall see what Emotiva has in store for us...Me, I am keeping an open mind but concerned about the way they are moving away from components and moving into what I see as mini modules that look as if they are made for a desk top. |
