Dirac full on the Mac is the most frustrating program I have ever used! Acknowledged the XMC-1 just fine a day ago and today no matter what I do today, the XMC-1 might as well not even exist. The XMC-1 iOS remote apps find the unit just fine. The Dirac program has no intentions of connecting to the unit even though everything is correct. Restarted the computer, XMC-1 and router with no solution in sight. Maybe the moon is in the wrong spot in the sky and the bird is standing on the wrong power line outside.
Who else has continual problems with the app and figured out how to make it work?

I had to set my XMC-1 to a static IP for Dirac to find it.

I had to set my XMC-1 to a static IP for Dirac to find it. Does DHCP stay on or off for a static IP on the XMC-1?

DHCP is set to disabled and then I manually set the IP address, gateway, mask, etc. I have a range of static IPs on my network, so I grabbed one that was available and off I went.

Funny, up to now with my 2012 Mac air with the latest os, i had no problems with my full dirac software using the emotiva mic. I just purchased the mini umc-1 mic and will give it a try this week-end Ps, i do have the latest Apple extreme router with dynamic DHCP on.

Once I get it to connect again I have a whole new set of problems to figure out with Dirac. This program just fights every step of the way. I will probably be back to the crashing issue next and then figuring out why it destroys my stereo center image.

Is the help section of the program missing on your Dirac for Mac?

Yes, it's there... couple of quick screen grabs. Are you on the latest version of Dirac?

Just downloaded it last week... Both Dirac LE and Dirac Full have been missing the help section on my computer.

I have tried that first and called Emotiva after that failed and they were confused why the help window is missing. I should probably send an email to Dirac in the morning and see what they say.

Agreed and that was going to be my next suggestion. Totally odd. Did it connect after the XMC-1 was set to static IP?

Agreed and that was going to be my next suggestion. Totally odd. Did it connect after the XMC-1 was set to static IP? Still won't connect... I think this XMC-1 has a glitch. iOS remote apps still connect fine but Dirac will not work tonight. Tomorrow it will most likely connect fine. It has always been this way since the day I got it. When and IF Dirac completes the filters and downloads to the XMC-1 without crashing the resulting sound is horrible. Guess tonight is not the night. About ready to send the XMC-1 back to Emotiva.

Should just call Dirac and troubleshoot this annoying issue. Wait, do they speak English in Sweden?

Should just call Dirac and troubleshoot this annoying issue. Wait, do they speak English in Sweden? Virtually everyone in Sweden speak English so that wouldn't be a problem. However, if this is for the XMC-1 version, they will most likely refer you to Emotiva. Not that it helps you, but I have no problems at all with my MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013) running OS X Yosemite ( OS X 10.10.5).

Is the help section of the program missing on your Dirac for Mac? Is it just retracted to the right side? I always hide mine that way to get more screen room for the program.
