Don't need amps, but looking at XPA, if I were to buy new Emotiva amps here would be my wishlist
4 channel version available. LED colour changing for front LED's, red, green, yellow or maybe adjustable With Atmos, a couple of options depending on what atmos type you go for, or perhaps a single 11 channel? Or a XPA-3 with XPA with not so much power for the remaning channels? so would that be 3 + 7? ie a 3 x 200W plus a 7 x 100W. Or maybe class D for the 7 channel since SQ may not be a concern for those channels?

nah not for side/surrounds. Maybe for 2 channel, for bi-amping.
I wouldn't go for Atmos, but if I did, it would have to be physically smaller multi-channel amps. ie if I was starting from scratch, I would just have a good 3 channel and a 8? channel for side/surrounds/ceiling x 4.
tbh the 4 x 200W is overkill for my side/surrounds but just wanted to finish off the same amp brand.
hell can you imagine going for a ATI 6007 + 6004?
I've gone from bi-amped home theatre (front three) to single channel all round. I had five x two channel amps, now a three and a four. Can't see the point of biamping in HT. Hi-Fi is biamped, with two x two channel.

I will miss the 80lb monster amps that made you feel like you bought something special.

So the amps hold either 7 single blades or 3 double blades. So I assume the 3 double blades are only taking up 6 slots. What I'm wondering is if you can do 3 double blades and 1 single? This would make it possible to get a full blown 7.2.4 system with fully balanced 500 wpc across the 3 front speakers, and then have the unbalanced 300+ wpc for the other 8 channels, all just using 2 amps (3d+1 and a 7). That would certainly be unique, no?

Whats your thoughts on a duel MONOBLOCKS per case, two cases for a quad-amp speaker system? Wait? Who said that? Yes! 1000 watts at 8ohm and 2000 at 4ohm. That's my wishlist. I have 3 20amp lines in the front.

Come on Wednesday, (or Thursday).
Big Dan spilled the beans and said that some of you have been listening to them already. When can you start talking about them?
Like what's the gain on them? 24db, 28db, or 32db?

29dB of gain. 300 RMS per channel at 8 ohms We've had them in the hands of a few local "professionals" and have been letting any and all hear and evaluate them here in Franklin. Better in every respect than the models they replace, IMO. Very quiet too. -123 dB s/n!! Also, they are not fly-weight. XPA-7 weighs about 53 pounds. Yes, that is about half the weight of the old model and it's MUCH more powerful!! Cheers, Big Dan

You seem to have good inside info that we all like to hear.

Re-Atmos...
3x300 + 8 x 150.... wouldn't that be nice in ONE XPA G3 chassis??
Wow, can you imagine how cool that would be?? 11 channels in ONE chassis with big power for the fronts and more than enough for the object channels.
What if it cost $2,195.00??
Genius!!

Wow, a -123db noise level. That's quiet. I'm curious about the balanced blades. How long before we can see the numbers on them?
