Thanks. I figured it was with it having EmoQ. I am surprised it is not TI based, but hey...Cirrus is fine. Mark

The CL platform is proven and stable - and imho great for a $599 processor.
So obviously the Emersa EMP-1 will be TI based. PLEASE also allow a Dirac full upgrade for the EMP-1 Keith!

Sorry, I don't have that information yet. There will, of course, be a lot more information as we get closer to launch date. Will a full version of Dirac be offered for the Emersa processor? If Emersa processor come with a upgrade to full dirac and HDMI 2.0B Board and HDCP 2.2 i promise this will be a very popular product. I have buyed it direct. Is this possible Keith ??

Whether you can still buy direct or have to go through a dealer depends on where you are - and may change. For a definitive answer there I would call in and talk to someone in Sales. It would also be interesting to know, if this possibility for adding 2 Atmos channels on the XMC-1 goes forward, if the Emersa EMP-1, as is based on the same TI platform as the XMC-1, would be able to have the same 2 Atmos channels. If so, and if cost can be maintained under 1000$, it would be an unbeatable deal ...

Let´s Keep it realistic. For me 7.1 and Dirac full would be already a very good deal with the EMP-1. No interest in Atmos from my side - but that´s just me.

Only do 3.1 in my house. Forget Atmos on the EMP-1 and BaseX for me. Don't need or want it.

use a miniDSP 2x4 on the output for multiple subs maybe at least can tune them individually ... tale outputs from mix/LR outs even for a full 2 sep subs

In most cases, one channel of EQ for the sum of your Subs is enough. I personally have a SBA with 4 Subs and don´t have any Problems with the .1 channel from the UMC.

Will there be an Emersa edr-5 channel power amp and what will be the price and rated power? Thanks.

Will there be an Emersa edr-5 channel power amp and what will be the price and rated power? Thanks. Emersa Amp (three models). Like the EPA-1 and EPI-1, Emersa Amps share are designed with the same slim, elegant 1RU chassis, and lightweight, ultra-efficient ICEpower Class-D power amplification found throughout the line. Individually they are: Emersa EDA-2 (MSRP: $599): 2 channels; 150 watts/channel into 8 ohms. Emersa EDA-5 (MSRP: $799): 5 channels; 125 watts/channel into 8 ohms. Emersa EDA-7 (MSRP: $999): 7 channels; 125 watts/channel into 8 ohms.

Emersa amps have a identity problem if you ask me. sure they are lighter etc, but overlaps with basX at a higher price. ice modules are not hard to come by online either. there have been a few products like that in the past where the buyer gets confused by the offerings. instead they could have been marketed for active crossover setups, 2 and 4 modules (for each speaker) in as compact form as possible.. for stereo 2way and stereo 4way setups. that would make some sense given how much traction DSPs like minidsp are getting these days.

This should be interesting. BasX A-300 Stereo amp, 150 watts @8 ohms $399 Emersa EDA-2 Stereo amp, 150 watts @8 ohms $599 Knowing Emotiva, they will build both amps with the lowest distortion, and highest transparency possible. My guess would be that side by side, they would be all but impossible to tell apart, sound wise. Though that is a comparison that I'm looking forward to hearing about. So I guess that you would be paying fifty percent more for weight and heat savings.

How many different amps do people need? Really. Especially if they all going to potentially sound the same.
