We kept Chris in the warehouse busy bringing out boxes! The deals were great. We each got $50 off certificates and they had everything at reduced price. The USP-1 was $319.20, so I got it for that less another $50! Wow, nice score!

I'm finally back in Raleigh now. Thanks to the whole Emotiva crew for a great open house event! Nobody would think it was the first one, everything was well planned-out, plenty of great gear, food, and entertainment. It was nice to meet some fellow forum members. I wasn't able to purchase anything at the event but I have plans for a pair of XPA-1s and possibly the new subwoofers later this year.

Glad people got to here how good the 6.2's are. I have mine home , but they're still in the boxes. I'm going to have to hook them up to the XPA-1's and see how they sound in a familiar environment.

Made it home safe! Thanks to Dan, Cathy and all the Emotiva staff as well as all the forum members and people that were new to Emotiva for making this one of the best weekends I have had in a long time!
I expect this event to be huge next year! It was great getting to know some of you as well as I did and I look forward to meeting even more people from the forum next year!
Gonna get some rest tonight. Will catch up with you all tomorrow.

It sounds like everyone had a great time at Emofest. I wish I could have attended but work was calling- maybe next year. Did anyone from the forum win any of the raffles? I am also curious as to how great the deals were at the fest? I saw a few members ended up going home with new gear. My good friend, that I brought, won the Grand Prize!!! He thinks that I am kidding, but I may actually kill him when his UMC arrives. Lucky fella. I was just one number away, ARGHH the agony. Of course I will have to help him get it setup, so he can just pour some salt in the wound. Emofest was an absolute blast. This is one 1st class company!

From all the pics and posts it is evident that the event was a huge success, everyone had a great time, there was plenty of food and drink and equipment and a great turnout.
WOW, it was tough to be here at home moving with all that going on. Glad everyone had a great time. Even though I didn't get there this year, many thanks to everyone who helped put it on.

Glad people got to here how good the 6.2's are. They seemed to be the overall favorites. I've got a pair in the game room for 2 channel music. These are some great speakers. Can't wait until I get a little sub to go with them.

Thank You Emotiva! You once again have exceeded my expectations. My wife , son and I had a great time! Everything was top notch from the food to the entertainment and the staff at Emotiva. I can't wait to try out the XPA-2 that I won in the raffle! I hope I am able to make it again next year.

Emotiva gave out some incredible raffle prizes there. What kind of audio system did your buddy have before he won the jackpot?

Emofest was a blast! I want to thank Dan, Cathy, Lonnie, Dann G., and the whole crew at Emotiva for putting on such a fantastic event. Their openness and generosity were way beyond expectations. They let us have the run of the place from the demo rooms to the offices and warehouse. Although I didn't win any of the raffle prizes, the t-shirt, $50 coupon, and sale prices on everything more than covered the cost of the trip out there from NC. The food and music were great, and it was nice to meet some of the other forum members.

Now that I've had 24 hours to catch up on sleep, I'd like to again give Dan & Cathy Laufman a big thank you!!! The Laufmans were very gracious, warm, and quite generous(especially with their time)!!! They definitely have chosen a first class staff and it shows. I personally would like to thank all the staff, Dann G., Lonnie, Chris & Chris(yes there are 2 of them), Nick, Beth, Sarah and Ty, as well as Chef Dave for a wonderful food spread and Mike(as Big Dan would put it, the man behind the curtain on the UMC-1 project). These people work together seemlessly and when all is said and done, the end user of these products, especially the EmoFest attendees, will know just how much time, energy, brain power, desire & love was put into these projects as well as future products. I can't say enough about the Emotiva team, and those of you that attended know exactly what I mean. A few shout outs go to: 1. Cathy for running EmoFest, the amount of love she put into both the "Meet & Greet" and the Grand event on Sunday had to be time consuming from conception. She definitely knows how to run Emotiva(hope Big Dan doesn't take offense to that because that really is a compliment to his taste)!!! 2. Big Dan, so much to say here, but THANK YOU for bringing to life your concept idea of EMOTIVA!!! You are definitely one classy gentleman!!! 3. Lonnie, this guy is a wealth of knowledge. He personally took a few of us into his office to show us the inner working of the ERS-112's GUI, as well as giving his UMC-1 lecture course. Answered everything thrown at him and added way more, some of which I must say went over my head!!! ;D Dan couldn't have chosen a better guy to run the technical side of Emotiva. Glad you're on Emotiva's Team is all I have to say. 4. Dann G., This guy plays so many roles that everytime I saw him he had a different hat on. ;D On a serious note, I now why he is the website and EmotivaForum's web master. His office is caddy-corner to Dan's & Lonnie's office, I'm pretty sure they lean heavily on him for his computer prowess. His evening duties, well to say the least he know's how to have a good time. Along side his trusty mates Doug, Judd & MajorLoser partying moves to the next level! ;D 5. Beth, Sarah, Chris, Chris, Nick & Ty: Tireless is the best word to describe these fine young ladies and gentlemen. Dan & Cathy chose this cast well. This crew didn't stop the whole two days, and I'm sure well before and definitely after cleaning up after us!!! ;D 6. lastly, I'd like to say putting the names & faces together was great. Doug, Steve, Judd, Majorloser & wife, Hemster, RoadRunner, JimBailey, Tom, Vince, Derek & his family(I still think you paid Dan off for the kids drawing) ;D, and all the other forum members I met(I'm sure I left several of you out there were just so many of you), lets do it again next year and have more of the EmotivaLounge family join us.
