Last mail I received off Emotiva (about a week ago) said they had intent to ship today.
(by order of original sales dates)
Also they maintain that most of the pre-orders would be filled by 15Jan2017.
But it IS a Friday.

Patience Grasshopper(s), I ordered mine on 12/2 and it hasn't shipped yet (I did get the shipping reminder on 12/30 that all will be shipped by 1/15). As I recall they also indicated in the podcast that they were checking them more carefully before shipping them out.

I know it has only been a week since they started shipping, but not having anything in the UMC-1's place is harder than I thought.  |

Well I'm getting kind of itchy myself at this point, since I had to send in my UMC-1. I know it has only been a week since they started shipping, but not having anything in the UMC-1's place is harder than I thought. I'll still be keeping my 15-year-old SSP from EAD in case I need back-up  It's currently sitting at my PC, but the MC700 will replace it for probably 6 months, which is when I would expect I would pick up a 4K TV for the main TV room, then the Emo and Oppo units do a shift around the house. I've used my Oppo 103 with Comcast TV to the Oppo's HDMI-in - it's a very reasonable backup until the real SSP arrives (or if you had to have your SSP in the shop for repairs). |

I'd still like to order an MC700 and see if it fits my needs.
I've never taken advantage of the UFL program, would that apply, going from an original UMC1 owner to the MC700?
If so, quick explaination of how that would work in my situation? (assuming it would, IDK)

But, I don't think you have to wait for the sale to be over to place an order at full price less the 25% (as someone else mentioned)...call them to see if they would do that now. Mark |

(assuming it would, IDK) Thanks Yes and no.... The "Upgrade for Life" (UFL) program began with original purchasers of the UMC-200, but is now a closed program. If you're already in, you're in for life. Original purchasers of the UMC-1 received a "Upgrade Certificate" (a physical card) which entitles you to a "one-time" upgrade to a next generation processor at a 40% discount. Again, that's 40% off of the retail price (sale prices are not discounted). If you are the original purchaser of a UMC-1, and still have the card, that's what you'll receive. At one point, if you used your Upgrade Certificate towards the purchase of a UMC-200 or XMC-1, you were automatically rolled into the UFL Program, but since the program is now closed, I don't know if that still applies. It may be worth a call to inquire. Hope this helps... |
