While not the prettiest things in the word, you could look into a wall-mount bracket that clamps onto the speaker that that a screw. This is the first example I could find: www.amazon.com/VideoSecu-Clamping-Mounting-Surrounding-MS56B/dp/B000X9O8SI/Flip-flop again. I think this will work using a long enough piece of wire, then each 3b will automatically hang down at an angle in addition. Probably a good way to test if I like the 3b's where I think I want to hang them, before getting more serious, as in... My wall sconces that I've had already turned out to be too shallow, but I found some nice ones that would work on Etsy which come in various sizes and finishes as well. They similarly have corbels, but I like the width of the sconces better. These sconces by SimpleDisplay will cost a little more than the 3b's (at their discounted price), but what the hey ;-) Those VideoSecu mounts look very nice (something to think about for surround speakers) but their minimum clamping width is over 5 inches. They're meant for somewhat larger speakers - even the AMT-6s is well within their weight guidelines (assuming wall studs are used to attach them). There seems to be others listed under Amazon - I'd have to look them over. The SimpleDisplay Wall Sconces that I found are really attractive, wood finishes, but pretty expensive in comparison ($60 each), and of course have no clamping.

I have two sets of these monitors. The audio quality is great, however, both sets make a high pitch whine when powered on. It sounds like a tea kettle is boiling. The noise cuts through most audio that I play, and forces me to turn them off when not in use. It's making me go insane. Does anyone else have this issue? They both make the noise even when ONLY the power cable is plugged in.

My set is completely quiet - no high pitch noise!

The BT function won't work with my laptop. I'll need an adapter. Any recommendations? The speakers are 2.0, will a 4.0 adapter work with them?

Hey everybody. First time posting here.
I received my 3b's a few days ago and am enjoying them quite a lot. The couple of questions I have are as follows.
1. When I hook them up to my PC by the BT and watch videos there is a definite lip sync problem. Happens on all types of video (YT, HBO GO, Videos on my hard drive, etc.) Does anyone know of a way to correct this? I have them hooked up by the line level and the problem has gone away. Lip sync is fine which leads me to my next question.
2. When hooked up to line level the blue BT Paring light flashes constantly. Is that normal?
I have contacted the Emotiva several days ago and have not heard back from them.

Depending on the software player you can set a delay for the video so it appears at the same time as the audio.

Not sure what default video player is. My PC is going in for an upgrade next week so will ask my computer guy. Am not super concerned with the lip sycn with BT as problem is solved by line in. Figured there might be a simple solution but should have known better.
Just want to make sure that the BT pairing light blinking is not a problem more than anything.
Thanks

Do the 3b's use the build in DAC with the 3.5mm input as well? (Basically, does it to an A->D conversion and then another D -> A conversion through it's DAC?
The reason I ask is because I have a Big Ego that I'm currently feeding my 3b's with and I'm wondering if it's beneficial for me to be doing so.

Sometimes they will pick up a little bit of noise through the power line - from some neighboring noise source. If so, then a line filter, or even a ferrite bead, may help. The Airmotiv 3b's have a Class D amplifier (even though the amplifier is internally a switching amplifier, it's input is still analog). While the Airmotiv 3b's have a Bluetooth digital input, they do not have a "wired" USB digital input. And, yes, going through an Ego DAC and into the analog input will give you better sound quality than going through the Bluetooth input. (And certainly better than using the analog output on the sound card in your computer.) Do the 3b's use the build in DAC with the 3.5mm input as well? (Basically, does it to an A->D conversion and then another D -> A conversion through it's DAC? Bluetooth adapters vary considerably....... I've had one or two that didn't work; right now I have a Creative Bluetooth BT-D1. It plugs directly into the USB port on your computer and the computer sees it as a USB sound card. This is handy because the computer doesn't have to have Bluetooth support, but the audio is still digital - USB. I use it with Foobar2000 and Windows 7. Note that, at least on my computer, it seems to work fine as a DS Output Device, but won't work in WASAPI. (The option is there but it doesn't actually work when you select it; of course your results may vary.) The BT function won't work with my laptop. I'll need an adapter. Any recommendations? The speakers are 2.0, will a 4.0 adapter work with them?

I agree that they are pretty unusable with the noise, especially at a desk. And the BT pairing light blinking while running line level? That's normal, or at least it is according to the manual. Sometimes they will pick up a little bit of noise through the power line - from some neighboring noise source. If so, then a line filter, or even a ferrite bead, may help. I had a pair do exactly what the user described, and then a replacement pair work just fine through the same outlets I used prior. Don't know what's up with that.

It took a couple of days and product support to get it up and running but everything is fine now.

Yes, I have this exact same issue and it's driving me nuts. Came to this forum to see if anyone can help remedy, else they're going back, hopefully to be replaced as the sound otherwise is fantastic.

Emotiva sent me an additional pair without the issue when I brought this up to them. Granted, this was when they were on closeout but not discontinued. Ended up selling the new working pair, but I've still got the annoying pair kicking around my house. Can't think of what to do with it.
