anyone has the Airmotiv 3b, and if so what is your experience as computer speakers? Thanks. I had a pair for awhile and later replaced them with some Airmotivs. I used them with the TV and they greatly improved it's sound. They are impressive sounding little speakers. |

I just bought a pair for taking on vacation to our timeshares. I had been taking down a pair of surround speakers to go on vacation, now I will leave my home theater alone and just take the Airmotive3b.

Even cheaper on the Ebay jadedesign site True, but they are refurbished and with shipping come to $87.50 so it seems worth it to pay a little more for new ones. |

I almost bought a pair the other day for my wife when I picked up my CMX-2 from the shop but she said she never really uses speakers for her desk at work so that was that. I offered significantly lower in my best offer for what I was looking at so I am sure they will cost significantly less |

Would these play loud enough to take outside on a patio? I don't need to rock the place, but being outside I'm not sure computer speakers would cut the mustard.

Mostly curious because my nephew has one of these and it's pretty friggin' cool. It sounds great for what it is, a portable rechargeable blue tooth speaker. Very nice and convenient for bringing out on the patio on a moments notice. I have no need for actual computer speakers because I never do that at home, and would never want good speakers at work. I was just wondering if for the $100 of the 3b might be a great deal not to be passed up. Never even contemplated it until yesterday. It appears for $128 they have the Onyx 2 which has hands free calling and an aux jack for hard wiring an ipod etc. That's worth the extra $8 for me for sure. It appears the $150 Onyx 3 can be linked for stereo playback from one bluetooth source. But, some say it doesn't have the same innards and doesn't sound the same. Others say it's identical. If I got one I'd probably get the Onyx 2 (although I HATE the gold finish vs the silver). |

Thanks Bonzo for bringing this to our attention. Just ordered the Onyx 3 for my daughter. Should arrive by Saturday with Prime delivery. Her Audio Engine A3's bit the dust and she takes her speakers everywhere with her, even in the bathroom when she showers. LOL. So the single frame of the Onyx 3 should work well for her. I have a pair of AE A5's and they too crapped out on me!  Will look at one of the larger Airmotives to replace them. |
