Im wondering if this is why my receiver shut down twice. Never happened before...it was at very loud volume

One of two things:
If your meter is showing an infinite resistance, then a wire is broken or disconnected somewhere in the circuit. This should not cause your receiver to shut down.
If your meter is showing zero ohms, then a wire is shorted somewhere in the circuit. This will always cause your receiver to shut down.
If the latter, check each part of the crossover, looking for that short.

Reading this thread, it seems that somebody has tried the Electrons, am I right? (I might not be.)
I'm sort of trying to figure out if the Electrons would work well in a 13x12x8 room.
What say the great minds in here?

Ok I a, decided on a pair of White Lore speakers. I like the 8ohm and high efficiency. Will be using them with a 30W integrated amp in a 12x18 room. (I may eventually use my Rogue Cronus Magnum as the amp).
Last chance to talk me out of it.

I was not sure whether I should revive an old thread or start a new one, but I decided to do the former. There was some discussion/debate in this thread here about some of the new Tekton speakers with the ring radiator arrays. I have been watching some discussion on other forums and the discussions have been very intense, often between those that have heard the speakers and raved about them and those who haven't heard them but discount them based on their unconventional design. Well, it seems that at the recent RMAF these Tekton speakers got some very favorable mentions/reviews. It seems that despite their quirky design, they impressed many people! I’ve got Impact Monitors. I think they sound great. I don’t have any experience to describe the sound but they sound good to me. And they aren’t huge so that increased the WAF quite a bit for me, so did letting her pick the color.

I lost my funding for my speakers due to some family things that came up. I'm hoping to start saving again and the Enzo 2.7 have my attention.

I am in the same boat as you though. I don't have the money for new speakers right now and don't expect to in the near future either. Oh well, I am still more than happy with my current system. Someday those Tekton electrons will get an audition by yours truly though! Or more than likely Erick will have released something new to peak my interest! Happy listening... |

I have owned a pair of Tekton DI's and a monitor (7 tweeter config) for my center channel.
I love these speakers. Excellent sound and a great fit with my XMC-1, and UPA-1 amps.

I’ve been mulling the idea of either the moabs or di’s with the single berillium for LCR. Does anyone have any idea if I’d be able to move my paradigm studio 100v4’s to surround duty with good results or would I be better off moving to something in the same paradigm family for LCR as I’m already heavily invested in the v4 family for the rest of the Atmos speakers..
