Several people in the Lounge posted and I felt that I needed to also. Over the years I have had many different pieces of equipment that I can't remember what I did with them...sell them, give them away, or just what? There were some that I wish i still had today, but that's life. Thanks in your interest in some of my old gear.

Nice Ben!!! Better hide that Sansui from Rather. While the turntable works perfectly, the Sansui does not. I'm digging into it now for repair.

Mr. Ben,
I think Rather may be planning his kidnapping of that Sansui. It's quite a beast. Hopefully you get it up and running without much headache.

lookie . .. This player is as mint as it can be for its age. I bought this from the original owner whose wife made him banish this unit shortly after they were married. He guy tells me he would pull it out for crazy listening sessions every time the wife went to Spain to visit her family. Everyhting works perfectly even the tape counter, and when it lights up, it looks awesome (to me, anyway). The sound is fabulous although I now need 8-track tapes (hint hint) sorry for the sorry pics .. .

Wow rather lots of memories from your machine there. Way cool. Fun to hear, but not so great to record on when you run out of space on the track.

I noted the "time counter" and that made me think "time machine"...as in, there's a trip in the wayback machine, Mr. Peabody! Seeing an 8-track makes me recall the time I stayed up almost all night building a radio for an older relative to give to his grandson at Christmas. I was maybe ~15. I listened to the newly released Queen "News of the World" on 8-track cycling over and over as I soldered away through the night. My power source was a Heathkit amp my Dad had built years before, with speakers he had built also. I wish I had pix of all that!
