Do you use a POWER CONDITIONER? Why or why not?

Do you use a POWER CONDITIONER? Why or why not? I bought one and returned it because it didn't work. Afterwards I realized it was because it came with an unconditional guarantee. Bill

Had a Panamax that was perfect with a 5 channels amp, but when I went to 9 channels it didn't let the juice go to the amps, gave it away. ...

Ive found that a conditioners best use is for low power gear. TV, Mac Mini, DISC PLAYERS BOTH AUDIO AND OR VEDIO. MOST peripheral gear. Not power amps which I suggest plugging directly to the wall.
I currently have a tube preamp and tube amp plugged into one with no negative effect.

I use them but more for the better surge protection. just think of how much $$$$$ in gear people plug into either a $5 walmart power strip or a $10 Costco surge protector. My mom lives in the mid west and all she uses is Panamax. They do work well, her neighbor has been through 2 TV's while my mom had to replace 1 surge protector. As for improving sound and picture Q well I did notice a little.

I'm starting to hear a LOT of people say most conditioners do more harm than good. Seems like PS Audio's power products get decent reviews.
I sold my Panamax but do use a CMX-2 (reduced a hum by at least 50%) and an inexpensive Tripp Lite surge/strip.

I do not and because I do not need to. Because you have a $20,000 whole-house power purification system and a dedicated utility company transformer on the street?

Do you use a POWER CONDITIONER? Why or why not? If a power conditioner did something useful, then the recommendation also cited relevant specification numbers that says why it is useful. None posted because so many only believe what they were told to believe. Do not first learn facts. If that Panamax was so effective, then also listed are the many damaged appliances that were not on a protector. None listed because the most at risk item (with tiniest joule numbers) was damaged by a surge that could not damage anything else.

My power goes to the gym every day so it is very well conditioned.

I have a FURMAN ELITE PF15...Why b/c my audio salesman years back said it was a good thing to have for protection. I still have it but FEW items are connected to it. My 7700 is conected to a wall outlet. My m125's to a kill o watt which is connected to a Variac. I believe my 990 processor along with my APPLE TV πΊ and COMCAST are the only pieces connected to the Furman. I have two MANUAL THREE OUTLET GROUND FAULT INTERRUPTORS with all other pieces connected to them including Variac, from there to my wall outlets.
So I guess you can say, if you are looking for an opinion mine would be that the Furman line conditioner is not worth $$ spent. I am not about to change anything since my system is dead quiet and protected. Both subs have their own surge protector connnected directly to wall outlets.
A lesson learned...don't believe everything your audio and HT store tells you without doing some research.

I don't use a conditioner per se, but my APC G5BLK is a decent surge suppressor that allows me to monitor voltage and amperage usage ('cause I like to do that kind of thing). More importantly however, it allows me to sequentially turn my components off and on. I start with the pre-amp, then power amp and finally the sources.

I have triggers going from a Denon 4520 to the XPA7 and XPA200, nice sequence, then turn on the sub, be it the one for music or the one for movies, hey we burn a few calories by walking a bit, lol....
