Hello all: I am also waiting for the expansion modules. If by January ending, no news regarding availability, I will not make a purchase. I have between 22 -26 speakers that are already in place.It is more than two years now. Thanks. George. Maybe worth a call to Emotiva to inquire? Or reach out to KeithL? Emotiva doesn’t always read all these threads. It’s an owner forum. |

Thankfully I have an XMC-2, but unless Emotiva come up with something pretty useful and near to the scalable multichannel outputs they mentioned at the beginning, to save face they may have to rebate every RMC-1 owner who could have just bought an RMC-1L a cool $1000 because at the moment they have some very expensive room air in a box. I wonder how far down the importance list the scalable multi output modules went when Disney Marvell etc decided 7.1.4 fixed object discs became a thing  And how much Dirac bass management options have complicated things [ not to mention the extra dsp processing that goes in the modules ..] Wouldnt be surprised to see DLBM and DTS X Pro to be further up the list looking at the opposition ce's  Heavens George ; your a customer for Storm or Trinnov ; something like this bargain in Aus 'just k/ding  www.visionhifi.com.au/home-cinema/trinnov-altitude-32-1632---reference-immersive-audio-processor/pid-O6 |

Another Podcast, did I miss something? Was there anything about any module? Do I need to listen again? Whens the release? All this work thats going on with new products, outreach on YouTube. New Marketing. Somebody please point it out to me.. OK, so I went back and listened again. Blah,,,Blah,,,,Blahhh,,,,,SALES,,,,,,Blah,,,,Marketing,,,,,Blah,,,,,,New Products (Sales) but thats nice. Using nueral x with dts96/24 music blurays the height channels aren’t active. It's so frustrating why some of these issues are taking so long to fix. |

Well, they confirmed the deviation introduced to the XMC-1 with the V3 HDMI board (flickering / shifting of the frontdisplay when used while dimmed fully which is distracting as hell and kills the immersion) and then chose to ignore and not fix it. Something which worked perfectly fine with the V1 and V2 board. Would be entirely against MY personal work ethics to introduce negative side effects with changes and not fix them but well ...
My joke in another thread if all RMC-1 buyers will simply get a $1000 refund and a "L" sticker to add to their processors was not 100% a joke.

The channel expansion board must be fairly high on the list since it’s core to the RMC-1 market. They know that one accessory alone would put sales though the roof. So why don’t we have it yet? I can only think of two reason 1) because it’s not that easy to do and 2) limited resources.

I know for a fact from being told on two different occasions that DLBC is not coming soon. I asked in January and February.
What else would be on the list?
More Channel Outputs of course.
Phono Inputs?
More Analog inputs?
Streaming?

Chances are good -if any are around the bend- simple ones like more xlr analogue inputs will be 1st ; just considering the time between firmware updates and where meager resources are applied to best effect .. The more time goes by it seems the more alternatives present themselves -at least in the 16ch realm |

I'm only interested in another Balanced IN Module. But soon, the warranty time is over - and the marketing promise (expandable to 28 Channels) was just a blowing in the wind.
Same goes for the latest FW 2.2 which almost damaged my speakers - I'm no so confident anymore, and as well not sure, if I'm still an owner the time the modules will be available for purchase.

Emotiva just announced the ERC-FD. While forum members are waited more than 2 years for an update on the option cards for RMC-1,the company decides the worthy news to give to forum members will be the ERC-FD. thanks for the valuable update. George. Did you watch the video about it? You might want to look at both outputs closely. |

The whole point of the (fake) product announcement and accompanying video was intended to be a soft hearted “April Fools” prank. There’s nothing in that video that’s meant to be taken seriously... |
