It's frustrating that you can't have civil legitimate grips about emotiva without the thread being closed and for what it's worth the narrative being changed. Lastly that thread had links to validate the delays and Emotiva's website changes. This does not help a new potential customer thinking about the XMC1 it hides the history and the truth.
I wonder what the CFPB would say about this... Deceptive Practices...

Maybe, but I'm getting a little concerned about the 'buy something else and leave us alone" attitude by some Emotiva employees, some moderators, and some fanboys. What is the sucking and whining toleration level anyway? And if a thread containing too much sucking and whining was deep sixed, how can you tolerate this thread which is all about sucking and whining?

I wondered how long it would take after the other was closed before another started. Not long! At least what is left of it contains the key useful information on the topic. I like that.
Now, we'll see how long:
a) it takes until the endlessly-repeated comments (which led to the closure) start again.
b) this one stays open.

If this thread goes down the same road(and it's headed in that direction), the same result will occur. The pertinent information is in the old thread. As for cleaning up that old thread, one of the members pointed out that it's not the content that you pointlessly kept posting over and over again, but the way it was stated. Whether you agree or not, the moderators have been historically and extremely lenient in what you post, but when you keep on with the disrespectful, personal, uncivil tone of your posting, it won't be tolerated. There are ways to get ones point across without being disrespectful, and I would argue these respectful and civil posts are way more effective in pointing out what's on your mind. If you want the moderators to strictly enforce the "Lounge Rules of Etiquette" we can, but we prefer to not be so rigid. I’ve been waiting patiently for months for the new XMC-1/2 or RMC-1. I’ve had no comment in the closed thread and again not much of one here, just an observation that the new gear will be offered for sale when it gets to the product page. No sooner or later! I’m pretty sure most of us on this forum are adults but sometimes its not so obvious.
Would I like the gear sooner than late? Of course, but crying about it not being ready is childish. Emotiva said that if you can’t or don’t want to wait, don’t! Whats the big deal?
I wouldn’t bring a product to market if I wasn’t positive that it worked properly, or at
least to the best of my knowledge ready for market.
Fanboy talking? NO Just a calm mind looking at the facts at hand. Yes, I DO miss the SQ of my XMC-1 but I made a decision to sell and wait for the new iteration. I did sell too soon, in hindsight of course, but thats the chance I took. Nobody elses fault. So I wait, its not the end of the world my friends. Its audio, and a production company thats kind enough to give us this platform.
Not very grownup to *bleep* and moan as my father would say.
Buy, wait or purchase something else but please lets all be civil about this.
Lets show some Christmas Spirit.
