Everytime i see a post in one of these threads my heart skips a beat, is this really it is it really ready. And then i come in here and all i see is more of the pete and repete of the same horseshit. We all want this done and it will be done no one wants ti done more than me but when its done we will *bleep* about something else they did wrong. One day on the radio i heard some guy talking about this sort of thing, basically people can name 50 things that piss them off but have trouble think of a few that make them happy. Perhaps its time to work on those things. I actually liked your post. In the spirit of keeping things cordial allow me to list the things of Emotiva that make me happy. In order of purchase: XPA-3 XPA-100 (x2) XPS-1 UPA-200 (x2) A-700 Who's up next? What of Emotiva that makes you happy?

Yes, please lock this thread just like the previous one. Any time it gets down to name calling it just isn't useful.

You do understand that a Lie is an intentional untruth, and that's quite different from a mistake. Are all of us were of lying every time we miscalculate? I lie is also an intentional omission, or deception. If this were my company or yours for that matter wouldn't you have updated the website before or soon after the new information was published officially here in the lounge? I don't consider it a mistake on Emotiva's end as they have staff that is responsible for the official message. Also based on what Emotiva wanted the mods to delete here was proof of the prior website changes regarding the release delays. Good thing the internet is archived. I have no personal ax to grind, just enjoy trying to hold a multi million dollar company accountable. Also the excuses for Emotiva run extremely thick here. Again, the key here is intent, their intent, not what you choose to infer.

Let me illustrate my point: I'd love ears for my rack as I currently have the a XPA-1s on rack shelves and the A700 on one as well. I don't think I'd use one for the XPA-3 as it is on the bottom due to weight. Since you later admitted you don't have XPA-1s, does that mean you lied or were mistaken? If I take you at your word, it was a mistake; if I have an axe to grind I say you lied. In truth you're the only one who knows. As it turns out, it looks like the V3 boards were apparently done in Q4, just not ready to be shipped, but we'll find out soon enough. Accusing anyone of lying is pretty harsh, and I like to have as many facts as I can before I jump in that boat. Based on what we know can you factually accuse them of not having a good grasp of the timeline, of being a little slow or sloppy in not updating things in a timely manner? Sure. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Now, I'm still looking forward to the ATMOS release, and I still don't see an Emotiva 4 channel ATMOS amp, or speakers.

You mean talk about a company that makes solid products for the price point and as a result has some rabid fans that think they can do no wrong?

You mean talk about a company that makes solid products for the price point and as a result has some rabid fans that think they can do no wrong? Now that sounds like Emotiva😊

Now that sounds like Emotiva😊 To be fair Jason over at Schiit really does seem to look up to Emotiva for what they have done for the industry. I think Schiit has learned a lot from watching Emotiva with both the successes and faults. That said I suspect that most people don't recognize the massive size difference between the two companies. A single engineer can design an audio amp in his or her garage just fine but it takes a team including software people (money pit!) to make a product like the XMC-1.

Actually this illustrates my position all along. I made a statement that was incorrect in which I corrected it quickly. Emotiva should correct their messaging quickly if indeed they ate continuously making mistakes... I agree with you mostly, I've just tired of the delays, and broken promises. My give them a break meter is in the red and benefit of the doubt has sailed.

If this thread goes down the same road(and it's headed in that direction), the same result will occur. The pertinent information is in the old thread. As for cleaning up that old thread, one of the members pointed out that it's not the content that you pointlessly kept posting over and over again, but the way it was stated. Whether you agree or not, the moderators have been historically and extremely lenient in what you post, but when you keep on with the disrespectful, personal, uncivil tone of your posting, it won't be tolerated. There are ways to get ones point across without being disrespectful, and I would argue these respectful and civil posts are way more effective in pointing out what's on your mind. If you want the moderators to strictly enforce the "Lounge Rules of Etiquette" we can, but we prefer to not be so rigid. So I suggest you refresh yourselves and re-read the Lounge Rules of Etiquette, particularly Rules 1, 3, 10 & 11: 1. Please keep the discussion focused. Topics outside the scope of a given thread may be moved, locked, or simply deleted at our discretion. For off topic subjects, please use the Green Room. 3. Be nice to each other and respect the moderators. Profanity, insults, knocking other brands, and generally rude behavior will not be tolerated. Period. Opinions are welcome, not bad behavior. 10. Instructions from the moderator team are to be followed. Period. 11. Discussion and opinions are welcome, but we must insist on civility. It’s really simple: Treat others as you would wish them to treat you. ...........Thank you to all members for your cooperation!!! The Moderators here do a GREAT job in my opinion.... Thanks for your thankless job!

I’ve been waiting patiently for months for the new XMC-1/2 or RMC-1. I’ve had no comment in the closed thread and again not much of one here, just an observation that the new gear will be offered for sale when it gets to the product page. No sooner or later! I’m pretty sure most of us on this forum are adults but sometimes its not so obvious.
Would I like the gear sooner than late? Of course, but crying about it not being ready is childish. Emotiva said that if you can’t or don’t want to wait, don’t! Whats the big deal?
I wouldn’t bring a product to market if I wasn’t positive that it worked properly, or at least to the best of my knowledge ready for market.
Fanboy talking? NO Just a calm mind looking at the facts at hand. Yes, I DO miss the SQ of my XMC-1 but I made a decision to sell and wait for the new iteration. I did sell too soon, in hindsight of course, but thats the chance I took. Nobody elses fault. So I wait, its not the end of the world my friends. Its audio, and a production company thats kind enough to give us this platform.
Not very grownup to *bleep* and moan as my father would say. Buy, wait or purchase something else but please lets all be civil about this.
Lets show some Christmas Spirit.
Mr. & Mrs. Clause 100% agree............Your decision wait or buy something else............

Hi Nick, there is nothing in the above that I disagree with, but there are a number of things that you have left out, most likely because it doesn't apply to your situation. Whereas there are plenty of others who are coming from a different place. In my case I am battling with 4K switching issues right now. Which admittedly I could solve any number of ways, but what if I choose one of those ways today only to look at the Emotiva web site and find the XMC-1 update/upgrade is available tomorrow? Then I would have made a bad and somewhat expensive decision, one that is not easy to reverse. A bad decision that could easily be avoided with just a little bit of information from Emotiva. No, not a firm date, that's unrealistic and I know better than to expect it. But some guidance as to where the process is at, which Keith kindly provided. Enough information for me to make an educated decision, which is all that I was after. I don't believe that it is fair to tar people who simply want some information with the whingers and moaner brush. BTW you may not think it's "the end of the world" but you don't have to deal with my wife Merry Xmas to all Gary Wife Factor VERY VERY important!!!!

I find it very frustrating to wait, and wait. The XMC-1 has only two jobs: process the audio, and switch the video. Without the new video card it is only doing 50%. But to be fair, it must be very frustrating for Emotive also. They're stuck with a wonderful XMC-1 processor, that they can't sell because of an obsolete video card. And they can't get the cards either... It's gotta be costing them sales, and they know it. They're not doing it on purpose. Sincerely /b

Sincerely /b It's tough to wait, but since it's beyond my control, I'm doing the work-arounds and have gotten used to it. My Harmony One is a big help. I'm only interested in the V3 HDMI board and will install myself. Looks like it's due to be sent out to buyers sometime in February. Not too far away. Your comment about Emotiva being frustrated also is spot on in my opinion. They certainly want these boards out asap to generate additional sales and interest in the XMC-1.
