I think it’s great that these boards will eventually be on the way, was worried we would never see them,
Love my Xmc and now I’ll be able to hang onto it that much longer.

Well it is Emotiva's Board and they pay for it. I think this allows them to do whatever they want with it.   That is the Bottom Line.........................................If you don't like it, move along...................  |

I’ve been waiting patiently for months for the new XMC-1/2 or RMC-1. I’ve had no comment in the closed thread and again not much of one here, just an observation that the new gear will be offered for sale when it gets to the product page. No sooner or later! I’m pretty sure most of us on this forum are adults but sometimes its not so obvious. Would I like the gear sooner than late? Of course, but crying about it not being ready is childish. Emotiva said that if you can’t or don’t want to wait, don’t! Whats the big deal? I wouldn’t bring a product to market if I wasn’t positive that it worked properly, or at least to the best of my knowledge ready for market. Fanboy talking? NO Just a calm mind looking at the facts at hand. Yes, I DO miss the SQ of my XMC-1 but I made a decision to sell and wait for the new iteration. I did sell too soon, in hindsight of course, but thats the chance I took. Nobody elses fault. So I wait, its not the end of the world my friends. Its audio, and a production company thats kind enough to give us this platform. Not very grownup to *bleep* and moan as my father would say. Buy, wait or purchase something else but please lets all be civil about this. Lets show some Christmas Spirit. Hi Nick, there is nothing in the above that I disagree with, but there are a number of things that you have left out, most likely because it doesn't apply to your situation. Whereas there are plenty of others who are coming from a different place. In my case I am battling with 4K switching issues right now. Which admittedly I could solve any number of ways, but what if I choose one of those ways today only to look at the Emotiva web site and find the XMC-1 update/upgrade is available tomorrow? Then I would have made a bad and somewhat expensive decision, one that is not easy to reverse. A bad decision that could easily be avoided with just a little bit of information from Emotiva. No, not a firm date, that's unrealistic and I know better than to expect it. But some guidance as to where the process is at, which Keith kindly provided. Enough information for me to make an educated decision, which is all that I was after. I don't believe that it is fair to tar people who simply want some information with the whingers and moaner brush. BTW you may not think it's "the end of the world" but you don't have to deal with my wife  Merry Xmas to all Gary |

I could have sworn that I heard Dan say at Emofest Q4 of this year, but then get corrected by the other gentleman on the stage say Q1 2018, to which Dan said hopefully Q4. So far I haven't heard anything different and it's damn cold outside for April 1, 2018! And, we've all been here long enough to know that until it has a cart option, not to get too excited.

We own the McIntoch C220 at her sole discretion! LOL I AM DEALING WITH THE SAME AS YOU AND SO MANY OTHERS AS (sorry about the caps! ) I have sold my XMC-1 in anticipation of the new version. Dummy me, RIGHT. I in no way ment to bash anybody, I too am greatful for updates, I’ve been poking Emotiva on a regular basis! Have you missed my PODCAST requests,,,,,repeatedly? I have a beautiful 4K Samsung pnel and player, Id like to simplify my system as many here want to, like you too. I was reared by a father that “would give me something to cry about” , so I guess I may be a little different,,,,LOL Did I mention that id love to have the 4K & Atmos update yesterday? It would solve my problems too! I just wanted to be perfectly clear. 😁🙏 |

I wondered how long it would take after the other was closed before another started. Not long! At least what is left of it contains the key useful information on the topic. I like that. Till then, Im still waiting. I am very glad we got a podcast before Christmas and it’s comforting that things are comomg along nicely. Growing pains are just that, a pain. But the growth is good and it takes time and patience. Something that some have and others just dont have enough or any. come February Ill be asking how much longer for the RMC-1, depending on that answer Ill make a purchase or continue to wait. In the meantime Ill still be enjoying my two channel tubes and Yamaha 3020 HT which is powered by Emotiva of course! 😁 |
