So based on that time frame, then the beta boards should be out in the wild by now? hmmmm, hunting wild board?

Guy on AVS tells me he's sick of waiting and he went out and bought a $3K Arcam receiver. Must be nice to have bottomless cash reserves! i bought in asia the xsp-1 + 2 XPA-1 Gen2 + erc-3 in december. The xsp lasted 8 weeks although he was on stick. I wanted to buy the XMC-1 in february. as it was offered. I ordered him where he was still offered for sale. 2 weeks after my order. came no ? .or then you should give the mc-700 to customers who have no processor at all. and then take it back . , I'm so disappointed. and so angry. what emo deducts there. a shame . ( for info in Germany, the xmc is still sold. very strange ) I have now bought North mono amps. and yesterday connected my new marantz processor. my new north 5 channel power amplifier comes in 2 weeks. Normally, I wanted to buy everything from emo, but it looks like that. the emo has no interest in supplying 7.1 customers. I sell the XPA-1 Gen2. the xsp + erc can stay. and then that, the xsp I sent today for repair. I congratulate emo on her customer friendly sales policy ps..I am curious . how long it takes until emo deletes this post

...............which is pretty much what Dan said in the first post of this thread about 4 weeks ago. So based on that time frame, then the beta boards should be out in the wild by now? Dan certainly did say this in his post, so I would certainly think this to be a possibility.

You can get the Arcam AVR390 for $1999 at Magnolia/Best Buy (MSRP is $2500). I went this morning to my local Best Buy/Magnolia and they offered it to me at that price. Not bad for a 7.2.4 Atmos/DTS-X receiver with 7 channels of amplification, full 4K (UHD) HDMI2.0a with HDCP2.2, HDR10, Dolby Vision and Dirac Live full running at 96KHz/24bit Not a bad option for someone that needs all of this now.

Hmmm... If one plans to use this strictly as a preamp, you’d better have an XPA “Gen1” power amp on hand. “Preamp Line Out =1v”... that’s gonna require some hefty gain. Otherwise, very nice indeed...

The power specs don't look that bad. For family room HT, I think it will do. For a full blown HT and paired with the right amps, its at least an option available NOW.

I have a hunch that the resale value of an XMC-1 will fall to around $800 if Emotiva doesn't produce the board as promised.

@ÈlTwo - the board is about a year overdue. I have faith that they'll be available by March 31, and want them to be 100% successful. But due to the prior delays with product delivery, I am unfortunately skeptical.

My XMC-1 is 3 today. It did ask me for a new HDMI board for its birthday. I hope it is still speaking to me when I turn it on tonight .

and where is the atmos conversion that should be with this so we can get extra channels out the spare outputs?

So ...As per the podcast we won’t see the Xmc 4K board till the Rmc is released. The chips won’t be in till April,if all goes well, then assembly and testing. Not complaining just depressed to a longer wait. Please tell me I misunderstood. 😢

Sounds like the chips needed for the RMC-1 are the same chips that will be used for the XMC-1 Atmos upgrade. Based on the podcast I would not expect the see the XMC-1 upgrade board till a little after RMC-1 production starts, so I would say June ish?

Please tell me I misunderstood. 😢 I think the chips needed were not for the 4k board (those use Panasonic chips) but the chips needed for the Atmos processing. I may be wrong though.
