This upgrade to 4K and HDR is the reason I brought my XMC-1 out of exile and sold my XPA-5.
My new A-5175 hit my porch about an hour ago; I can configure my wife's cabinet to accommodate the 5175, but not the XPA-5.
I am really excited to get this combination going. I, too, am willing to wait until the initial rush is over to send my pre/pro home to Tennessee.
Back in business, boys and girls!

Does it support DolbyVision or just HDR10?? That's an interesting question. I'd like to know if this new board support DV. It's not a big deal for me because I'm running a projector and projectors won't get DV support any time soon, if ever. But I know lot of folks want DV support as well.

Does it support Dolby Vision or just HDR10?? While the description below doesn't specifically state that the V3 board will pass Dolby Vision, it does say it supports Dynamic HDR. My guess is it will pass Dolby Vision's dynamic metadata being that it's the only other type of dynamic HDR that is currently being used. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- XMC-1 Technology Enhancement 2: HDMI 2.0b and HDCP 2.2 (V3) Replacement HDMI board (V3) upgrades ALL HDMI inputs and outputs on the XMC-1 to HDMI 2.0b with HDCP 2.2; including full support for HDR10 and Dynamic HDR. Hardware – replaces original XMC-1 HDMI board or HDMI (V2) board. Will be included standard on all units shipped after the board is available. Supports HDMI 2.0b, with HDCP 2.2, and the full 18 Gbps data rate on all ports. Supports standard 4k UHD video, HDR10, and Dynamic HDR on all ports. Installed by Emotiva (at no cost – recommended) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

New website look as well today. BTW, on the V3 HDMI board description says this now: What’s New: HDMI Board
We expect to have our much-anticipated HDMI 2.0b video board available for the XMC_1 within the next few months. All XMC-1’s sold before the new board is available will be shipped with an HDMI 1.4b video board installed, but the purchase price will include the new HDMI 2.0b board, which replaces the original HDMI video board, and which will be shipped to owners at no cost as soon as it becomes available. (Users will be able to upgrade the board at home and avoid shipping costs and delays. However, if they prefer, we will be glad to install the upgrade board here at the factory for a nominal shipping fee.)
Current XMC-1 owners will be able to purchase the new upgrade board, which they may install themselves, or arrange to have installed here at the factory. (All XMC-1 units in the field so far are eligible to be upgraded to full HDMI 2.0b functionality by upgrading their current HDMI video board to the new one.)
The new HDMI board (V3) upgrades all HDMI inputs and outputs on the XMC-1 to HDMI 2.0b with HDCP 2.2, including full support for HDR10 and Dynamic HDR. It supports HDMI 2.0b, with HDCP 2.2, the full 18 Gbps data rate, as well as standard 4k UHD video, HDR10, and Dynamic HDR, on all ports.
So now the price for the V3 HDMI board does not include shipping.... Also, the price disappeared from the description.... It was $399 including shipping both ways. Talking about Dolby Vision. Looks like the New XMC-1 Gen 3 will support Dolby Vision according to the picture below. So if the V3 HDMI board for the XMC-1 is the same for the RMC-1 and the New XMC-1 Gen 3, my guess is that the new V3 HDMI board when installed in the XMC-1 Gen 2 should support Dolby Vision, right? Another note. This morning the XMC-1 Gen 2 was in stock and build to order in 3 days. Now is showing available in 21 days. So I'm guessing whoever place an order right now will be getting their XMC-1 with the new V3 HDMI board, right? Attachment Deleted

They really do change their tune a lot. I emailed them about 1 month ago and they said round trip shipping included when you get the v3 and atmos for i think was around 1g. The atmos board is goona kill me when i have to ship it across the border and mess around with customs bs. I wish they would let us know if there is someoone in Canuda that will do the atmos install.

Does it support Dolby Vision and eARC or what's called Enhanced Audio Return Channel? Without it any streaming from a Smart-TV's internal software will not be able to pass TrueHD or DTS-HD audio content to the XMC-1/processor and you'll be stuck with AC3 only.
