I believe it is, they had stock and were just waiting for the 4K board sign off. Possibly even with the board in place, so they just needed to load the software. Cheers Gary Garry wasn't the Xmc-1 always $2,499? if so that means anyone who buys today get the board for free, yet i have to pay for the board. Is this right or have i got this completely wrong? Cheers I believe anyone who paid $2,499 for the XMC-1 was eligible to get the board for free (assuming they didn't opt for the previous HDMI upgrade board). Those of us who got in early before the price went up to $2,499, or used a 40% off discount card (or both), had to pay for the board.

lonnie, when do you guys think you will have the update report for the PC graphics cards and V3 HDMI boards available to download or read? Those of us with HTPCs are on the fence as to what to expect. I'm happy to report that the latest beta firmware (5.1a) fixes the HTPC issues. For my needs, the XMC-1 is fully functional with the V3 board!

I even think originally it was supposed to be $1,499, which was a bit more than double the UMC-200 at the time. Cheers Gary.

Damn, must be having one hell of a hook up in Louisville, 3 days and it's still there Woohoo for me but my XMC-1 must be very disappointed, it was only in Honolulu for a couple of hours, arrived at 7am left at 9am, so no time for a quick surf. A bit concerned that UPS tracking says;Looking on the bright side, maybe that's good news and it will get here Friday instead of Monday It's in the country arrived at 7.30 pm tonight, currently resting, after its long flight, in the UPS depot which is about 15 minutes drive away, I wonder how long customs will take to clear it, maybe I will get it Friday instead of Monday. Too bad that I have a race meeting on this weekend and won't have time to set it up. Cheers' Gary

He funny!
Frankly, I find it interesting to read about the stages of delivery while in the Customs arena. It's an eye opener. I'm very fortunate that I can order something today, and receive it tomorrow.

The MSRP was $1,999, and those of us with 40% off cards got the 40% off of the $1,990 price, not the $1,499 price Emo was selling it for. It was a bit frustrating, but I think most of us understood the 40% off card was too good to be true.

I bought mine on sale for $1999, or maybe it was before the price increase, and was told that because of that deal I was not able to get the v3 board for free. Only those who paid full retail $2499 get/got a free v3 board (S&H not included IIRC; and at that time -- two years ago or so -- the v3 board was going to be out "soon"). And it does not include the (still pending) Atmos board. You can (or could anyway) get a discount buying both upgrades at once but I did not since I have no plans for Atmos in my media room. There was an Upgrade for Life discount that yielded the $1499 (or there-abouts) figure but I missed that. Or rather I bought it, but it no longer applied when I bought the XMC-1, or something (don't recall exactly).
Any word on when the "official" FW update will be posted? I am not currently using an HTPC so did not do the last update but that is in the works. I am planning/plotting a small quiet unit to obviate the wireless network to my NAS -- flaky connections now and then.
As one of the "whiners" about the amount of time and string of broken promises on release dates for the v3 board, I have to say I am very impressed with how responsive Emotiva staff has been with FW updates for the issues reported upon release into the wild. Kudos!

I had a 25% Off discount for being a Upgrade For Life member, which if I recall correctly cost $50 to become a member. I pre-ordered the XMC-1 at the $1,999.00 price minus 25% so it came to $1,499.25 plus $20 shipping. That was back in 2014. Emotiva ran another promo for UFL members again in 2016 with the same pricing.

i paid $2499 and that would have included a free ship to emotiva to have the board installed or as i did the v3 board sent free to me. I bought in november or december of 17.

Last year between January and March the price was $1999 with the V2 HDMI Board. Then they offered what they called the XMC-1 V1.4 (HDMI 1.4b) for $1699. I remember I almost placed an order for that price around March. Then Big Dan announced the new price policy of not sales during the year and by May 2017 they increased the price to $2499 with the V3 Board upgrade included. I placed my order on May 27 2017 and paid $2499. Funny thing is that the XMC-1 I got was the same XMC-1 HDMI 1.4b that was on sale for $1699. That would have been the best deal: XMC-1 for $1699 + $424 for the V3 Board = $2123 total.

Emotiva ran another promo for UFL members again in 2016 with the same pricing. I got my UFL for buying a UMC-200, didn't cost anything other than that. The $50 was for a Club, that entitled members to a discount on all things Emotiva, it only lasted one year if a remember correctly. I almost got my $50 back in discounts on a few things, a couple of Ego's, some cables and maybe the ERC-3, not sure about the latter. Cheers Gary

Got my XMC-1 in 2016 with the V2 HDMI board (HDMI 2.0 without HDR and HDCP 2.2). For a short time there you got UFL discount on the $1.999, so I got it for around $1.500 + international shipping.
Gary is correct regarding obtaining UFL. The other thing was the E-Club, Emo-Club or whatever it was called.

Had to look it up: paid $1999 in April, 2015 and used the e-club discount ($49 to join, 10% discount so saved $150 net).

Yes, I'm talking to myself again ................ delivery Monday, so it took 5 days to get from Franklin to Sydney (~1600 kilometres) including a 3 day lay over (sic) in Louisville and now it's gunna take 5 days to get from Botany to Sydney Olympic Park (25 kilometres) Cheers Gary
