Now i know why my XMC-1 has not been shipped yet.
I ordered and payed an XMC-1 and an XPA-1 back in March, and if i remember correctly, the XPA-1 was in stock back then (according to the website). Now the XMC-1 is available, the XPA-1 is not in stock. I was told they expect the XPA-1 to be available in august.
I'm not happy about the situation right now, i don't have a "backup music system" and patience is not my strongest attribute. I could accept the delays caused by "engineering problems", but even though i got a really nice discount on my order, i can not accept delays caused by "we shipped your XPA-1 to someone else, because you have to wait for your XMC-1 anyways".
now i am waiting for a reply to my request how much more a seperate shipment would cost :-(

What about going with an XPA-DR2 instead of the monoblocs?

Well that’s no fun. What about going with an XPA-DR2 instead of the monoblocs? I already have one XPA-1 Gen 2 at home, which powered my old subwoofer (together with an XPA-5 for the speakers). I switched to some big active Subwoofers (with the Aurasound NS18 ;-) ) over a year ago and so my XPA-1 was unemployed, so i thought why not use 2 XPA-1 for the fronts, and so i ordered another one with the XMC-1 Edit: I am without processor because my UMC-200 died in february, and initially i wanted an XMC-1, but back then, it was (surprise) still unavailable.

I don't see why one can't be shipped without the other.

I don't know either, as far as i remember my first order in 2014 was not shipped on a palette, but just in 3 big packages. I don't even know if it is more expensive to ship them to germany as "one shipment with 2 packages" or "two shipments with 1 package each". I just want to listen to music and watch movies with adequate sound again. When i read the last E-Mail from Emotiva i really was like "ARE YOU *bleep* KIDDING ME" in my mind. I hope it is just a big communication problem and my order will be shipped soon

It's in the country arrived at 7.30 pm tonight, currently resting, after its long flight, in the UPS depot which is about 15 minutes drive away, I wonder how long customs will take to clear it, maybe I will get it Friday instead of Monday. Too bad that I have a race meeting on this weekend and won't have time to set it up. Yes, I'm talking to myself again ................ delivery Monday, so it took 5 days to get from Franklin to Sydney (~1600 kilometres) including a 3 day lay over (sic) in Louisville and now it's gunna take 5 days to get from Botany to Sydney Olympic Park (25 kilometres) Well that was a pleasant surprise While checking the UPS tracking, which still says Monday delivery, the receptionist walked in with an XMC-1 sized Emotiva box. No customs fees or tax charges, it's a win win. Now I just have to fit in enough time over a race weekend to install it in the system. Cheers Gary

If that’s what you’re waiting for it could be a long one. Did things change and they’re getting another batch? Who told you they’d have more in August? I might be upset too. emotivalounge.proboards.com/post/947972/thread

Bugger, does not look like I get my board today, Paid for Priority which is 3 to 5 business days, and it was sent last week Friday. It's at the Australian Post facility in Sunshine West, and tracking just updated to estimated delivery Monday the 2nd of July. Disappointing, but what can I do..... Had my son at my place waiting for the delivery which should have come today really, looks like a sickie for me on Monday I guess, unless he is willing to be here again.

In the last E-Mail i got this info: "We have your order in our system, we are waiting for the XPA 1 Gen 2 to come in. They are scheduled to be here in August. Both units will ship together."
i think they sold the last batch of XPA-1 before they arrived (so there would be more customers with >1 month delivery time ?)

In the XPA-1 thread Emotiva commented that they had sold out of stock on hand but had one more (last) shipment coming in. Those have all been spoken for AFAIK and there will be no more. Unless they change their minds again...

Phew, I got good news today, it seems that there was a bit of confusion about my order. It will be shipped completely next week. Wish me luck that I get my shipping notification and that the package won't be lost :-)
Edit: 2 hours ago I got the shipping notification,
THANK YOU EMOTIVA for acting fast and sorting out the confusion, i am happy again

I believe it is, they had stock and were just waiting for the 4K board sign off. Possibly even with the board in place, so they just needed to load the software. Cheers Gary Garry wasn't the Xmc-1 always $2,499? if so that means anyone who buys today get the board for free, yet i have to pay for the board. Is this right or have i got this completely wrong? Cheers I just purchased the XMC-1. Paid the price of $2499 - the 40% discount card I received when I purchased my UMC-1 and I'm a happy customer. Well, except for the fact that my XMC-1 was dead on arrival. A new one will hopefully be on the way on Monday.

The Emotiva invoice accompanying the XMC-1 was for the 4K HDMI board itself, the labour charge to install it and the silver trims plus freight, hence under $A1K. Cheers Gary

Cheers Gary Nice going!!! The board is around $AUD700 landed assuming no duty. I seem to remember reading somewhere that the HDMI board is actually made in the states.
