Ok, I went and found an adapter that works and fits, but it doesn’t look like Monoprice sells it any more. The gold adapter on the left is Male 2.5mm TS to Female 3.5mm TS, it works. (FYI TS = Mono, TRS = Stereo) The other two plugs are the 2.5mm TS and 3.5mm TS I made my cable with (yes it drives me nuts that they don’t match, but but they’re metal and luckily I don’t have to see both ends together 😑) . Sorry for no real help and for the lengthy diversion of the thread.

Just a rhetorical question. How many electronics companies can you send an email to their support address and you get an answer from the companies President/CEO? I sent an email a while ago to Emotiva support asking that it be forwarded to Lonnie because he was familiar with the issue I was having. Just a few minutes later got an email saying "Will do, thanks!" The email was from Dan Laufman!
Sorry, but I just had to say something.
Everyone have a good weekend and be safe.

I called this week and asked for Dan and minutes later he was asking me what he could do for me. 👍🎶♥️🎶👍 That’s the caliber of people that are bringing us our toys, folks that love great audio so much so that they never go to work! It’s not work if you enjoy what you do. Here’s a great big cup of Emo Blue to everyone at Emotiva! Thanks y’all! ❤️ photo upload site

Steve No offense but I don’t know why this is a big deal. Now if Mr Laufman said, give me your address so I can ship the Dirac black box to you so you can have it first being that you have been a loyal customer for 11 years...now that’ll be something:).

No offense taken, but at least for me, it is the first time the head of a company has been the person that responded to a service request. I have contacted service departments at Marantz, Denon, Yamaha, and others. The heads of those companies were not the ones that responded. So I thought it was something out of the ordinary and appreciated it. Have a good remainder of the evening and be safe, Steve

I’ve been an Emotiva customer for a long time and Big Dan has never been shy to talk to the customers and thank us for supporting his products. I also feel like if it wasn’t for Big Dan and Emotiva, I’d still have an Onkyo receiver so it goes both ways. Actually, I shouldn’t have taken some of my frustrations towards Emotiva out on your kind and warm message. Tbh, I have not been happy with the direction Emotiva took with the Gen3 amps which resulted in me buying another brand and the Dirac delays. I am very happy with the latest firmware though. They are all good peoples at Emotiva from Dan, especially Lonnie, Damon, Jessica etc etc. Thank you for sharing! And here is hoping for linear transformers to return!

Not sure, about the stability of BEQ. Spent most of this afternoon trying to import filters from a USB thumb drive. Occassionally it would clarify acceptance, but on check had imported nothing, other times it would crash - with USB read error (tried several different ones - all with the same consequences) - verification of import (but nothing actually there), or USB Read crash. All other speaker location filters loaded correctly Eventually managed to get them to stick, by manually entering them - though again this took many attempts and a re-flash of the most recent firmware to get them to stick. Anyone seeing anything similar? I ran REW on my front 3 and sub this morning and they loaded into my RMC-1 just fine, no hiccups whatsoever. Fixed a peak in my mids, tamed my hot highs and my subs are now flat to 5Hz! Not perfect, but good enough to hold me over until Dirac drops. Are you positive you’re naming the .emo filter files properly? Keith recommended exporting filters from the RMC-1 first to confirm the naming protocol (and you can double check the speaker name within the xml file at that point using Notepad).

I've spoken to a few people who've gotten REW to work with their RMC-1 or XMC-2... and successfully imported REW filter files.....
I would note two things: 1)
Not only do you have to get the NAMES of the files correct... but the channel name is also included in one field inside each file... which must also be correct.
(I'm not sure what would happen if they disagree... but I suspect either something odd would happen... or the file would be ignored as being invalid. 2) The files we're talking about are XML files... which are basically text files in a very specific format. (XML is a programming language... so some things may be altered in specific ways... and others may not... and that includes punctuation, capitalization, and spacing.)
You should be able to edit them with any "XML editor", pure text file editor, or editor that offers the option of saving pure text files. However, many word processing programs do NOT save pure text files, or don't do so by default, so the files they save may not work. As far as I know, if you get ANYTHING "fatally wrong" about one or more of your files, it will simply be ignored.... but you probably will not get any sort of error message.
(Their paid-for editor is really excellent... but the free version is quite adequate for this sort of project... has no annoying adware or commercials... and is completely free.)

I had to load a previous version of the firmware, then load the filters - successfully, then load the latest firmware. That got the PEQ unstuck.

Well, that didn’t last long. Can no longer use MC JRiver 24. Not sure what happened. Rebooted everything after getting back home and it’s out to lunch. It’s been a long time since I’ve played with JRiver so there’s no telling, and it’s late, and I’m tired.

Thanks. Yes I had exported and named as per the exported filters, what was strange was that all other filters imported correctly, it was purely the bass filters that didn't stick. Manually adding them solved the issue and @keithl explanation might have some substance to it in the text editor I used to add a filter. Will try some more in the future when I'm braver. Usually use Notepad+ but on this occasion - just plain vanilla notepad. Might have had formatting issues.

Thanks Keith - may well have been formatting issues. Had noticed that some of the speaker locations inside the files had been changed from their original location eg "frontRearHeight" to "leftSubwoofer" - was really strange and without any manual intervention. Might try later with notepad+ see what happens.
Was only the subs that proved difficult, (everything from REW imported without issue) but those were the ones that I manually added filters to. Convinced now it's user error, though will test later.
Thanks for the help and keep up the great work - firmware upgrade has made a huge difference.
EDIT
Yes I reckon it's been user error - combination of incorrect formatting and using wrong text editor. Tried with Preset 2 and everything working as expected.
Now back to our scheduled programming

Amazingly fast mode switching now with firmware 1.10. It now changes in less or about 1 second. Also input switching is ALOT faster! IMO as fast as any other AVR/AVP.. Great work Emotiva!
Menu’s, although faster, is still slower than the competition. Probably due to live update.. Alot better though. Acceptable speed but faster still wouldn’t hurt. Without removing live update I don’t think any major speed increase is possible. That’s not an option though..
I have had the whole RMC-1 lockup while showing a friend the PEQ menu. Also problem with locking on to sound and picture with my SAT box, which IMO was a little better in previous versions. I have a Sony 65ZD9 TV. This in both low and high power mode. In Video Remains On standby mode I have mostly got a black screen with no sound. Just to start RMC and get picture and sound, sometimes no sound. Yes, I have set the standby input to the correct one!
When I use my projector RMC-1 looses sync 1-2 times almost every time I use it now. Just to resync in 2-3 secs and be fine for several hours. This I actually got in 1.8/1.9 already. 1.7 did not have this behaviour.
I STILL want the info window to have a ”stay on screen” and time setting PLEASE Emotiva. I want to view it until I press it away, like any other device I have or have owned.

I don't know if you have any laying around but I just took two ir repeaters, cut the ir ends off and wired them together. It's worked great with zero ir issues and on 1.9 right now I still use the stock remote and front IR at the same time. I'm hoping they didn't break this in 1.10, but both rear and front work perfectly for me.
Chris...

Version 1.10 corrected my ARC issues with the Samsung Q80R TV. ARC works like a champ now. Thank you 👍😁
