So, it would seem to be yet another broken promise made by Dan on the already long list of broken promises. Smells like Emersia (sp) in here. Some of us got tired of waiting on that promise too...

Yes alot want Emersa but with all silence on that processor and Classic D amps Line. I dont know if it happens. But they talk about a 1000 Usd processor this year, wounder on name and spec. But Emotiva timelines often to optimistic so Always comes later. Thats why i think they are more silent this time.

Yes, but in the case of this unit, when it first shipped, buyers were emphatically promised, by Dan himself, here on this forum, that they would soon receive a physical copy of the manual just as soon as it was available, which was supposed to be just a few months. It would appear that never happened, not just soon, but never. So, it would seem to be yet another broken promise made by Dan on the already long list of broken promises. The Clock! Don't forget that one! 😂

-No on 2.2; that would require new hardware. Did the industry already scrap HDMI 2.1 ? One suspects that he is referring to HDCP 2.2, which is necessary for contemporary 4K content over HDMI. HDMI is still birthing HDMI 2.1, and while there are a few (but not many) TVs with it, there are no AVRs or SSPs and no projectors. Yes, one CAN claim "HDMI 2.1" by adding eARC, ALLM and similar, but outside of the 8K and other high end, mainline brands, nothing has the 48Gbps capability yet. Ain't life fun?

I'm thoroughly confused....
The Amazon link is for a BasX A-700 AMPLIFIER.... which is an entirely different product. (That's what comes up when you search for the MC-700 on Amazon - presumably because they don't actually list the MC-700.)
Also... just FYI... We sometimes don't have printed manuals ready for the first batch of a new product we ship... When that happens, we start including printed manuals when they become available... At the same time, as soon as the final version of the manual is available, we make them available online for download as a PDF... We DO NOT generally keep track of who received a physical manual packed with their unit - or automatically ship them to people who did not initially receive one...
Customers who received a product, but didn't get a printed manual, usually download and print one when the PDF version becomes available if they want one (many people PREFER the PDF version.)
If you want a printed copy, call in to the Sales department, and ask someone to send you a copy. (We will either send you a commercially printed copy if we have extras - or we'll print one here and send it to you.)

well they have the 30 day return policy so if i have any problems i can just send it back and buy the Outlaw audio one until i have enough money to buy a bigger one (More $$$$) I tried the outlaw route prior to the Emotiva processor. Don't regret returning it at all. Of course its all based on personal preference. UI was better but sound was mediocre at best to my ears. Found an MC-700 in stock from the Canadian distributor at $1039Can all in but the Outlaw 975 is at $549US plus exchange shipping and taxes around $900Can and then there's their new 976 low profile with fully balanced out for around $1400 Can .....decision... decisions... www.outlawaudio.com/products/976_gallery2.html

Found an MC-700 in stock from the Canadian distributor at $1039Can Just noticed the 700 has no mix out...half my viewing is with headphones so I'm running a 35' interconnect to my Bryston BHA-1 headphone amp behind the sofa...ok...back to the drawing board...the Outlaw has record out so I'll need to check..... oh boy. just to add...I see the Outlaw 975 is from 2012 and their newest also lacks a mix or record out....so I'm probably better off with a used...UMC200 ....

I have one of the first MC-700s. I have connected almost every modern console, two types of projector, and I use it with Bluetooth. Its auto-EQ seems to really like bass, so I manually adjust it. I am not a huge fan of the remote control as most of the buttons are stateful, which makes universal remote usage a big pain. That said, I have had no major problems with it. No loud sound when switching audio sources. No need to reset devices to get video (and I have a lot of devices on this thing). Would I recommend it? Considering the cautionary tales of others, no, but from my own experience, yes for a low-cost processor.

Just lost my UMC-1 this week,,audio sect quit. Emotiva wont repair and only give 150,trade in value. I have read alot of issues with MC-700 and am worried about purchasing,,going to use my 40 off discount.I thought about XMC-1 but there are no more and that is out of my price point right now. So MC-700 is all that i see aval. Anyone add to help me pull the trigger or go elsewhere?

There are very few choices in a pre-pro at this price piont. As stated in a previous post, I have worked through some quirks with the MC700. It is sensitive to certified Hdmi cables, but I cannot complain. For my use, I think it is a great sounding pre for a very affordable price. I also do much more 2.1 music through it vs. movies, but it syncs Dolby Digital via ARC from my TV and the sound is great for sports and TV programs (5.1 set-up)

Remember it's your money and I'm sure you'd want what ever you buy to just work. With that said, if it were me I'd get a AVR or AVP from a more reliable manufacturer with preouts then pick up a nice set of amplifiers from Emotiva as they are highly reliable with the exception of an amp here and there. I've yet to have an Emotiva amp fail. Good luck and turn the knob.

How about a second-hand Anthem MRX 310? Very reliable.
