mine was an XMC-2
You would have thought that they would have only taken order for product they had in stock or at least parts to build with.... if it was the latter, they should have just built up more and held off on opening the orders up so people would have less down time

Same type of thing happened with me recently with an order at Schiit Audio. Website said "backorder possible" but did not say they were not in stock. Waited a week and contacted them, told order was on back order and would ship a week later. Anyway, time to grab a beverage, relax, it will come.

True, but when your given a place in line and told you can order, you expect that is should be a fairly quick turnaround time, heck considering this had been the first time in a while they had opened up ordering I would have expected they had most if not all XMC-2 processors built up already. I fully understand how much COVID has screwed up manufacturing, I am currently working with our plant in Dearborn building the new (P702) F150 trucks..... it has us slowed down big time.... The biggest thing is, my projector is my only display device, so its not like I can just turn on a TV and watch something using the build in speakers

Seriously, call them and ask; a lot of supply chains have been disrupted. At least it looks like Dirac Live is getting closer to reality.

My XMC-1 arrived at Emo on 6/9. I 'chatted' with them on 6/10 to get an idea of what the turn-around time would be and received this response: "Thanks for contacting us. You'll receive an order once your unit is processed. It should take 5-7 business days to process the unit. It's three day shipping to Colorado." Your experience isn't giving me much hope. Just called Emo and was told it '' your RMC-1L should be shipped today, tomorrow at the latest'. I'll believe it when I get the shipping verification from UPS. I actually feel sorry for the CS reps having to put up with 'where is my order? calls all day long. Just to follow up, my RMC-1L was delivered yesterday per Emo and UPS. I suppose it could have been a coincidence that my order shipped after calling Emo. It could be that it would have shipped w/o a call, but from how the conversation went with the CS rep I got the feeling it was being pushed up in the queue. Not sure if it was a 'squeaky wheel' thing- I was very courteous, just wanted an update on the projected shipping date- but I can't help but feel the call made the difference. So I would suggest anyone waiting a long time to give Emo a call and talk to them nicely. It couldn't hurt.

The biggest thing is, my projector is my only display device, so its not like I can just turn on a TV and watch something using the build in speakers Emotiva received my XMC-1 toward an XMC-2 on May 20. I consider myself pretty patient, but a month is pushing that envelope.
Then again, they once had a processor (Sherbourn PT-7030) of mine in repair for 6 months. (It apparently got misplaced.) When I finally got it back the same problem (a dead HDMI input) was still present. Ooops!
That is the down side of Emotiva that sometimes rears its ugly head. On the positive side, they were very apologetic about the issue and because parts were no longer available to repair the Sherbourn, they let me buy an XMC-1 at the Upgrade for Life price. They did not have to do that. I also got to keep the Sherbourn and was able to sell it on eBay (with the one inoperative input) further reducing the cost of the XMC-1.

Have you given them a call for status on the XMC-2?

Have you given them a call for status on the XMC-2? No need. I just received an email:
"Hello Johnson,
We have completed your XMC-1 inspection and everything looks good. We are shipping your new processor to you today! The tracking number for this shipment is: 1zaxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
Imagine that...
I look forward to getting the room working again.

I think all of us are familiar with "Emotiva time" vs. real time.

How long did it take to receive the shipping label to send your XMC-1 back for the trade in inspection. Ordered my upgrade to the RMC-1L and besides the sale order email, have not heard anything and wasn’t sure if that was typical?

May 18 - Order Placed May 21 - Return label received May 22 - XMC-1 shipped May 27 - XMC-1 delivered June 4 - XMC-1 inspected and RMC-1L shipped

Having a real tough time just getting my return label. I’m pretty patient but, this is getting tough to swallow
Purchase made and paid for June 17 and a of today (June 26) still no return label for my XMC-1. Got ahold of customer support and they said a label was sent on the 17th however, there is nothing in my email including junk folders (I keep all email). Been working with customer support for the past two days hearing the label is coming but, still no label 9 Days into this order
Can’t imagine what the timeframe for the inspection of my XMC-1 and shipping of my RMC-1L will be

Although it took nearly a month, my XMC-2 upgrade arrived at 8:30 last night. I will spend some time setting it up over the next couple of days. Here’s hoping I can get most aspects working correctly. Older non techie brain here. Wish me luck... Ann
