I would love to see a full balanced differential FDPA-2. Can they do it? That 2 modules inside the box and obviously more. Hmmm, but.... Well anyone at Emotiva get this? Oportunity. Maybe just a bit bigger in size. Oh I do need to behave. But not gonna.

Do you think that was a "One off" or can they still be ordered in all black? I don’t understand what you mean by “all black”? Yes, as I said, they have always been “all black” and that’s your only choice, there are no sliver options. But this is the only one showing on the website and its black with a silver border?

Back to MonkuMonku,
I think that the PA-1s are definitely worth it, even if TV and movies is the focus. I replaced XPA-100s across the front with them and I think they are really great sounding all around. They "woke up" my speakers somehow vs the 100s ( Sonus Faber Toy Towers, 3way) Even with more than a 100 watt deficit! I feel like I am getting the best of both worlds, clean and accurate dialogue and soundstage in center channel and stereo video formats, and the musical side is so fast and rich, even down pretty low. The imaging is great too, as I watch a lot of youtube content which is 2 channel. It really sounds like it is coming from my center, and then music kicks in and I'm blown away every time. It could also be the super low noise floor. Now I haven't tried them on a bright speaker, so that may be a different story, but I retract my prior comments on using them Magnepan .7s, I have since tried that again as well and found them to be exciting there as well. But I am using XPA1Ls there with 500w into 4 ohms, and it's a great match, so I'm keeping that setup.
In sum, the PA-1s are great sounding, fast, efficient, light, small form factor, and just plain cool! You can put them anywhere and they don't get hot, even when pushed, and they can drive a real load. Lastly, they are not wasted on video content. The first time I played Ridley Scott's Prometheus, I couldn't believe it. I have watched that movie at reference levels at least 10 times and I was hearing so much more. At the time that was just with a pair running L and R in surround, before I picked up the center.
So I say take the plunge and definitely report back. Return shipping is much easier too with the lighter smaller packaging. Good luck!

I’ll add that I bought three of these to run my Martin Logan Theos fronts and my center and the amps are legit amazing for the price and size of them. I’ve been doing a lot of 2 channel listing since I’ve gotten the Martin Logan’s in the family room and the PA-1s have yet to disappoint me. Super clear at high volumes with a lot of low end on the Martin Logan’s. Really couldn’t ask for anything else out of these amps.

I wound up buying a Carver 5-channel amp from someone in the Lounge who was offering it at a crazy good price, lower than what the PA-1's would have cost. I'm happy with the Carver.

You really should have a GAS Ampzilla!!! From someone as classic as Bob Carver, James Bongiorno! (I had his predecessor to this, from SAE)
