1) The delays suck. 2) Home values falling sucks. 3) People losing their jobs sucks. 4) You or your loved ones having terrible diseases sucks.
If you have only #1 and not 2,3,4, or others, count your self extremely fortunate and readjust your perspectives. We're all VERY lucky to be even contemplating the luxury of building home theater systems at a time people are losing their homes. Time to just suck it up.

It`s true it doesn`t work well in a marriage especially when they didn`t do anything wrong like emotiva they didn`t do anything wrong unless you think it`s wrong that they didn`t predict how many bugs they would have to fix before the “estimated” date ,but threads like these surely will make emotiva act and the best fix for this is no news no forth coming of new products- you can`t complain about something if you don`t know it exists , even if they don`t give a time line and I`ve seen it before people will still pick apart what statements they have made like how it was worded and the like so threads like this are not constructive negative feedback they did nothing wrong , even nostradamus didn`t predict every thing right !!! P.S. I agree 100% on roadrunners reply#86 ,,, But I feel like I`m adding fuel to the fire so this is all I have to say about that Funny... I guess when your AC is broken on a hot summer day and the repairman says he'll be right over but doesn't show up for 3 days then texts you and tells you he'll be there next week... then he did nothing wrong. Or when a vendor promised that he'd have parts for your product ready by the end of the month and they don't deliver... then there's nothing wrong with that either. I like your philosophy... Don't show up for work for a few days and when the boss calls you into his office... I'd love to be a fly on the wall when you explain to him that you did nothing wrong. LOL The bottom line here is that as a principal engineer... it's part of my job to anticipate potential delays and factor them into my prediction of when I will deliver. Predicting when something will be done transcends all types of manufacturing and I can tell you from experience that delivering on time is of paramount importance when it comes to developing and releasing any kind of product be it electrical of mechanical. I'm certain that the folks over at Emotiva are sick about having yet another delay. They know exactly how damaging these delays have been and are doing everything in their power to get that product out to their loyal customers but... to say that there's nothing wrong with being late on a prediction... that's just being naive. It's a freakin' AV appliance. It's not something broken waiting for repair, not a job, not something of any remote importance to anyone or anything but Emotiva's bottom line. There was never a confirmed release date. It only recently appeared on the website with an ESTIMATED release date. At the simplest level, you are a customer, nothing more. If you don't like the business you can go somewhere else. You are owed nothing and should expect nothing. Now who's being naive?

These delays are indeed frustrating but on the other hand I am one lucky S.O.B. in life. Though I do also have the second issue but que serra serra .

"Strung Along" If anyone here has gone without a pre/pro in the interim that would be your choice. There are plenty of processors on the market, if you feel you've been cheated you've done it to yourself. I could've bought an Onkyo or Integra, but I've chosen to wait it out for an XMC-1. If you don't want to wait, then move on to the next product, pretty cut & dry. OK, this is the 100th quote re buying something else whenever anyone complains about yet another missed date. There is one very obvious flaw in your suggestion, I'v been on the preorder list for 15 months!!! I sure would like to hear what Emotiva has to say on this. In other words I'm guessing that your comments (and many others from the loyal base) are not helping Emotiva out. Especially after there seem to be so many jumping ship all of a sudden. So Dann.. Are you up to the task of telling your fans base to STFU or would you like to add some new customers (like me)?

Considering there won't be enough available initially to even satisfy the pre-order list, what difference does it make? Odds are even when it is released, you're still not getting one right away. Of course if you're the conspiracy type, you might think we're saying "go buy something else" because we think it will increase our chances of getting one in the first release. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

STFU? Sorry but , I`m still trying to re-grasp the written word I believe it's "shut the f*ck up". Which I would expect Dann to say if I said something like "Led Zeppelin is the best band ever!" or "Morrissey sucks!". (Hypotheticals here. Don't ban me. ) For telling people to stop bitching about the UMC-1 delays. I doubt it.
