Went out to test drive a few cars and wasn't planning on buying today, but the markdown on the 2020 Acura TLX with Technology Package and V6 was hard to pass up. This is not "My" car but is what I drove home in this evening. I'm highly pleased to say the least. The technology has come a long way, and I'm blown away at all the safety features that came as standard on this model.

So you going to trade in your CORVAIR? 🤣 Congratulations, hope it serves you well for many years to come!

Sig p210. Have sold off all my polymer guns and added about 6 new to the collection. This is one. P210 is one of my out right favorites. SIG at its best. The lines and function. What a pistol should be. For me this, the 1911 and High Power were my growing up pistols, and in this polymer world, a breath of fresh air. I am also a CZ75 fan from way back too. These P210s fetch a pretty penny though. But my oh my, so many things right about this pistol. Once again proving the Swiss know what they are doing. I haven't fired one in years. I am overdue. Also added a Beretta M9, CZ p97b, Sig 1911 STX, Ruger GP100 2.5" 7 shot, Kahr MK9.

Why the sudden aversion to polymer? Have nothing against them. But for me I lost a lot of interest in shooting as my guns all became Glock 19 ish guns. Just realizing personally I like these full size metal guns better. I was too worried about the next tacticool theory or idea and not just having fun with the hobby. One thing led to another....

Metal frames over polymer have their own coolness about them. I have no preference over steel or alloy vs. polymer. Just needs to do its job that is all. But there is something I like more about the metal frame guns though that go beyond function. Aesthetics, the fact I grew up around metal alloy frames maybe.

Waiting for the mount to arrive .... by tomorrow. Then headed out to the range to sight in the optic and test some sub-sonic ammo.

The Cassette Deck arms race is underway. This Technics RS-M280 with Differential electronics, 3 heads and Quartz Lock Direct Drive will fight and take no prisoners. Rare and capable. The Aiwa and Nakamichi and A&D, and JVC will have the fight of their lives. The JVC most likely the least performing, the other 3 very very close.

I had posted a question recently about the 4 ohm vs. 8 ohm tap from the transformer in my VTA ST-120 amp. Just ordered this, which will enable me to use both - wire the 4 ohm to one of the red positive terminals and the 8 ohm to the other one. Just have to make sure not to plug the speaker terminals into both positives instead of a positive and negative.

I'm currently typing on my beloved Surface Pro 3, but alas - I dropped it and got a major crack in the touch screen this weekend. So, only part of the touch screen now works. So, I ordered a new Surface Pro 7. It's basically the same as what I have with a few minute tweaks (and a fully working touch screen). Arriving tomorrow! Mark

Mark I love these tablet solutions very much especially as an interface. Dropping them is no fun though. I use armor on my devices because of my butter fingers. Never saw if there is armor for the Surface though. Would be interesting to protect the Surface from unexpected gravitational events. Causing Seismic emotional trauma.
