He is using Dirac for my calibration and verifying things with REW from what I can tell. Ill let you know for sure when he is done. He said it’ll take about 7hrs to do all the tweaking, so he is certainly getting into serious detail that I wasn’t doing by simply running Dirac (hence why I hired him!) Yes Chad is thorough so I'm sure the end result will be excellent. Do let us know how he performed the audio calibration, as I"m highly interested. He was just at my house the Sunday before Thanksgiving calibrating my Sony OLED, and his results are nothing short of stunning. Curious as to what he does, his process for calibration....if you don't mind elaborating. Never mind...went to the site and I think he covers what he does well...

Chad calibrated my TCL 8 series 85". It is also stunning. I am lucky and live not to far from him.

Hello,
in the next few days my rmc-1 will arrive and I have a question to possible speaker config. My plan is a 7.2.6 in the basement home theater. The .2-Subwoofer are a 2x4 DBA which will b optimated whith a dsp and a bass shaker system.
When I look at the back plate of the rmc-1 it looks like that I have to use the SUB-R and SUB-L Outputs for the Top-middle L+R. Is a speaker routing possible - Top-Middle -> Front Wide in the setup? I don't want use front wides. If a routing is possible then I Could optimize the .2 better (DBA and Shaker) and don't have to use a y-cable or to split it in the dsp.
bye ben

No Ben, that isn't possible.
Internally, the channel designations are fixed with two exceptions: 1) Using Wides to bi-amp the FL and FR (Although this still does not work as intended or as expected) 2) Using the two Sub outputs, as you described, to get the full six overhead Atmos channels
There are some other processors in the same price point that will allow you to do this, so it may be worth using your 30 day returns with Emotiva to explore this, as they also currently seem to have working internal audio pathways (proper bass extraction and subwoofer integration) plus the added bonus of Dirac Live Bass Control (Arcam) or AnthemAV's own proprietary room correction.

As long as you don’t use full analog throughput it should work as intended. However if analog inputs is used with Reference Stereo then you will get some really strange effects due to a delay/upmixing (unless Emotiva haven’t muted this as they said they would do over a year ago).

This is what I have. BAFX IR extender. <button disabled="" class="c-attachment-insert--linked o-btn--sm">Attachment Deleted</button> I can also recommend this BAFX unit. One other thing to mention is that instead of using an ir flasher cable (like the ones shown in the link) my RMC-1L works perfectly using the same type of 'trigger cable' used to connect a processor to turn on an amp (an 1/8'' mono cable IIRC) from the extender into the rear-panel ir input. This trigger cable also works on the Oppo 10x series universal BR players. You can decide what will work best for your situation, but the option is available for you.

markc: Thank you for the information. That is not what I want to read and I could not understand why emotiva don't make a Speaker Routing possible but the I have to live with that. I find it make more Sense to change between Wide speakers and Top middle. Nobody of my Friends use wide speakers but more Overhead speakers and multi subs or DBA. An alternate Processor of another Brand? Arcam is to buggy and worse when I read the review at the ASR Forum. Anthem was better tested at ASR but it seems that it don't have a perfect firmware. Also I like Dirac and the PEQ in the Emo Pros. First I had a DDRC-88A and one XMC-1 V1 and one V3 but I wanna Upgrade to immersive Sound. At the moment a Tonewinner AT-300 works in my 2.0 system - the base-OEM-Pro for the comming MC-1. Also I own a CX-A5100 but it is just 7.1.4. My Idea was to wait for a new Yamaha CX-A but there ist nothing in the Horizon and it think it will be max 7.1.4 again. I was looking to the monoprice HTP-1 but unfortenatly it is still not released in Europe or Germany. Furthermore my price for the rmc is massiv cheaper than the list Price so I bought it. hsamwel: I don't want to biamp... I could but at the moment my IMG Stage Line STA-2000D works in Bridge Mode.

Ensure your IR is turned on in the RMC's menu.

Agree with tngiloy , mono (3.5mm TS) most reliable for IR and Trigger, and (presumably) what’s on the other side of the jack. Another more expensive but more capable IR Extender is the Harmony Hub, its output can be cabled directly to the it RMC/XMC and essentially ‘extends’ IR, as well as IP/WiFi, ZWave, Zigbee, and of course adding Harmony Remote capability and Activities.

I think this is more expensive than BAFX, but it’s compact and works well for me. sewelldirect.com/collections/ir-extenders/products/blastir-wireless-pro-ir-repeaterAll my electronics are in a closet behind the TV. My Harmony hub handles everything in the rack, and this repeater allows the Harmony to control the TV power. Technically the Harmony remote could’ve done it, but if I want to use the app instead of the physical remote, I need this type of solution. It is reliable and works great for me.

I have had my RMC1L for about six weeks. All of a sudden, my audio drops out. I have to reach behind and turn off the switch, then restart. Anyone else having this issue? is there a fix? I'm pretty sure it's on the latest firmware.

I'm pretty sure it's on the latest firmware. On which input? And with what source? I can’t remember a single instance were I have needed to turn off my RMC-1 with the switch. Maybe once butI don’t recall when.. This from firmware 1.3a up to 2.3.

I'm pretty sure it's on the latest firmware. Yes it does but very seldom for HDMI or Analog input, but 50% chance for ARC input. As adam631 said, no need to cycle the power by off and on. Just select another input and back, usually cures problem. Mine also FW 2.3.

I have an RMC-1 and one of my input sources is a Windows PC running KODI. What setup control would allow the video source (pc) to be on my flatscreen even if I change from HDMI 1 (KODI) to tuner or turntable etc? It was setup on my XMC-2 but I cannot remember the setting or seem to be unable to find it in the manual. There are different ways to do this.
For my music setup I ended up with a Button on the Remote for HDMI 4 (I named it Roon) - and a second Button # for Balanced IN. First sets the RMC to HDMI 4 Video and Audio - second just switches Audio - and the Picture from my Intel NUC resides.
My roon bridge has the Rose RS150 as Player with USB DAC (or direct) and the Rose itself sends XLR analog out to the RMC-1.
it's recommended by Emotiva to not go into HDMI Config and set it up directly as a permanent solution.
I configured these 2 steps in my Harmony.
If this is suitable for Tuner and Phono have not tried - as I don't use any of them.
