Spreading the Schiit around the house. The Bedroom is now sporting the Modius with the Anthem AVM-30. Works well. Now I got Schiit all around. And that is a good thing as more things around are not the Schiit.

Enjoying your updates as you get your Schiit together, Vcautokid! Maybe LuisV didn't appreciate the consequences of his actions when his Schiit hit the fan! Have a pleasant Sunday, Shim

Merry Christmas all!
BTW, you guys should try other variants of the 6SN7 like the 6C8G tubes I'm running. Or even miniature tubes like the 12AU7 and 6CG7. As long as you purchase the correct adapter to convert over to a 6SN7 and you're running a 12v tube, you'll be fine, not to mention going this route opens up a lot more options.

Do you prefer the 6C8G over the Raytheon? I prefer the 6C8G with the Raytheon. I've listened to them on both sides of the preamp several times over many days, and with all the tubes I have, this current combination sounds best, with the 6C8G's on the left and the Raytheon's on the right. But keep in mind, I have the Baldwin/Raytheon tubes, which sound different than the standard Raytheon's. And to touch again on using different 6SN7 variants, going with miniature tubes not only open you up to a lot more options, but a lot of them are a lot less expensive than 6SN7's, and because they are smaller, they also tend to be less microphonic. I have yet to try any miniatures, but plan on it at some point.

Are they the medium / tall tube with the halo getter? The Raytheon tubes that I have are shorter with the side getter.

They are a medium black plate, and they had to pass Baldwin organ tests to earn their approval and their name printed on the tubes. From what I gather, they are a bit more stout in build for less microphonics and exhibit a bit more refined, smooth sound. These tubes date back to the 50's and 60's and came right from the Baldwin organ company.

So......after ordering a Freya+ 2 weeks ago I sent them an email this morning asking when I may expect my unit.....they just replied that it may take several more weeks before she'll have an idea when I might get the unit. Not the answer I was hoping for.....over a month to get a potential date when I might expect it.....piss poor manufacturing model on Schiits part IMHO.

When I purchased mine and the Vidars, the delays I experienced was due to COVID. Acquiring parts from local suppliers within California; as I'm sure you know, they had high numbers and dealt with numerous lockdowns.

I'm in the same boat, having ordered several items and was told yesterday they can't give me a good estimate on when everything will be ready. They said they have "unexpected staffing limitations" which is sort of vague but seems most likely to mean Covid-related problems, whether physical or logistical. I doubt this is something Schiit could have planned for because there are too many variables outside of their control. I'd love to get my orders soon, but I know they're trying their best.

I get it, just frustrating..... a month or more to even have an idea of it's possible production and possible delivery.....and all the while these tubes and tube extenders are piling up on the kitchen table...Lol
