Yeah... I might have a little bit of experience with that combination of gear... LOL What do you want to know? Loads of power for any Klipsch (I ran Heresy III's), full dynamic sound, definite tube sound, both from the preamp and the amps. Give the amps room to breath as they get quite warm even just idling. Sit back and enjoy! One bit of advice... Get some nice NOS tubes. At a bare minimum, get a matched pair of NOS Raytheon/Baldwin 6SN7's and put them on the right side on the Freya+, and get a set of tube socket savers, also called tube risers. If you look closely at the pics, you see that my tubes sit "on top" of the Freya+, not down in it like stock. 6SN7 Socket SaversRaytheon/Baldwin 6SN7 GTB

I have the Freya+ and I’m quite pleased with it. It’s the only stereo preamp I’ve owned but it’s sound quality far surpasses the Yamaha, Rotel and Marantz processors I’ve had.

Chops, where did you purchase the socket savers?

I'm sick of all this Schiit lately in the Lounge. Na... I love my Freya and Vidars... let us know when your gear arrives. Be careful with Chops; he'll have you spending money on socket savers, tubes... whoops... looks like he already got you spending more $$$. LOL

I only have the Freya + but really enjoy the sound of it as well as the option to toggle between modes.
Just need to find good tube option for the 6SN7s. So many options out there. I tried a vintage set from Tube Depot but they sounded awful to me. (1950s set of GE 6SN7GTA)
Edit: Found a matching set of 4 of the Raytheon/Baldwin GTB and bought them. Scott

I don't recall seeing that you picked up the Freya+ simpleman68 ... awesome. I've read that most have preferred using a mix pair of tubes, instead of a quad set. I'm baking Tung Sols on the left and GE GTAs on the right; also purchased from TubeDepot. So far, I prefer this over the 4 TungSols that came with my Freya. I have others pairs to try... but I'm letting these bake for a bit before I switch things around. What didn't you like about the GEs?

I've got a Schitty question, can the Aegirs run the T2+? I know the Klipsch mentioned above are all super efficient. I'm also thinking about getting out of the Emotiva XSP-1 pre-amp, the power on issues have me losing trust in it. Thanks for any info.

Anybody wants to try them out I'd be glad to send them for a test and buy them if you like. They are well reviewed and not cheap.

Those are rated at 91 dB, so not bad at all. Would you be running one or two bridged mono? One in stereo will be getting you 40 watts @ 4 ohms, while bridged, and it's not published anywhere, the Aegir's will in fact run a 4 ohm speaker mono, giving you 160 watts. I was running my Martin Logan SL3's on a pair of Aegir's for a month or two before swapping amps. But the SL3's are a lot more demanding than the T2+, so you shouldn't have any issues. Which GE tubes are you referring to? I can't think of any GE 6SN7's that are terribly expensive. Do you have a pic or a link to them? BTW, I think you'll like those Raytheon/Baldwin tubes. They're a great sounding tube.

Hmm... odd as I have the opposite view of those tubes. Did you reach out to them about what you're experiencing?

That's a lot of Schiit talk there my friend. Yes, that Schiit is contagious. One of the best of 2020. Many things taken in. Also Schiit is opening a facility in Texas too. More Schiit to go around. So that is Utah, and Texas and the California Schiit HQ.
