The purpose of this thread is to provide information to owners of Emotiva surround sound processors regarding the setup of the processors themselves, commonly used HDMI source devices, displays, room correction, and other general information about configuring your system. Most of this information is updated regularly, with links included to live documents and video resources. This thread will include information regarding the XMC-2/RMC-1/L processors, Dirac Live, the BasX MC1 processor and MR1 receiver, and general HDMI configuration notes that will help avoid common issues that we see with HDMI and these processors. Forum users may not post here, but we will provide a link to a Form where customers may report findings of their own regarding specific HDMI devices, displays, or the processors themselves. The goal is to gather and distill this useful information and to provide it to other users to assist them in setting up their processors. Recommended Processor Accessories

General HDMI Configuration NotesThis section will include notes and resources regarding HDMI compatibility for all processors. Some notes may only apply to XMC/RMC processors or the BasX processor/receiver, but most apply to all processors and address HDMI in general. Notes for how to set up common HDMI Source Devices
This is updated regularly with findings on how to best configure your HDMI source devices and other notes specific to each source device. All of these settings may not apply to all systems, as much is dependent on the display being used, but this can be used as a reference if configuring a new HDMI device with your processor. Notes are included for: Apple TV, Roku, Amazon FireTV, NVidia Shield, XBox, Playstation, and Blu-Ray players, with more to come. Notes for how to set up common Makes of TV and Projector
This is updated regularly, but there are so many different versions of TV operating systems, even within the same brand or make, that settings may vary depending on your specific display. We tried to note the operating system used by each TV (Google, Roku, or proprietary) so you can also look for TVs that have a similar operating system, even from another brand, and use those settings to guide your setup. More will be added regarding setup tips for your TV or Projectors once finalized. HDMI Troubleshooting Tips - This document outlines and helps to address four of the most common issues that we hear about from customers when first configuring their system or a new HDMI device.

Please find our updated Emotiva Dirac Live Quick Start Guide, which includes descriptions of each step in the process and links to resources, including helpful video tutorials. This guide covers all steps of the process, including downloading/installing the software, information regarding your software licensing, configuring and connecting your processor in preparation for running Dirac, and then completing the Dirac measurement and filter creation process. Additional troubleshooting resources are included for common problems you may encounter when running Dirac Live with your Emotiva processor.
