Shows are cool and neat, but what can't get from people covering the shows already. Well, meet the people in person making the stuff. Hear the stuff for real. Over pay for booze, get pissed off on the parking, pay too much for a room. But hey! You love the stuff so if you go, you go knowing what you know. Toasting one for all who go.

Shows are cool and neat, but what can't get from people covering the shows already. Well, meet the people in person making the stuff. Hear the stuff for real. Over pay for booze, get pissed off on the parking, pay too much for a room. But hey! You love the stuff so if you go, you go knowing what you know. Toasting one for all who go. It’s not a big deal for me to go. 30-35 min drive and for minimal cost we can listen to a wide variety of products. I don’t think it’s cost prohibitive. You can leave the hotel and go somewhere to get food too. For someone who likes audio, especially given the current situation with hardly any dealers, it’s relaxing and quite enjoyable. Also, I don’t have any intentions of buying Wilson’s or anything at that level, but it’s kind of fun to listen to that stuff. I do plan on getting a pair of JL F113v2 in the somewhat near future so I’ll be focusing on subwoofer choices. While it’s not a favorite of many folks, I think the JL fathom subs are incredible for music. I’d like to get the Gotham but even in the used market it’s a bit of a stretch for me. Hopefully Axpona will give me an opportunity to at least get a feel for some subs that i otherwise cannot listen to. |

I generally come home feeling I didn't hear anything that sounded that much better than the system I have As you and a lot of us have come to realize, setup is king! This was proven very noticeably at AXPONA 2019 when, on Friday, the room with Wilson Alexx V, a pair of Wilson Subsonics, a pair of D'Agostino Relentless amps, and a pair of D'Agostino Momentum amps, along with the source, preamp, and cables, sounded fantastic! They changed the setup overnight and lost the magic on Saturday - I sat in the same chair. I was very happy to go home and listen to my system that sounded better than the Saturday demo of at AXPONA. Tossing $600,000 at a system doesn't make it sound great all by itself. I also realize that the system I witnessed above won't work in my room, so I'm not salivating over any of it. |

Either way, it would be fun to coordinate post show dinners etc for lounge members. It's hard to do the show together because everyone wants to see/hear different gear and allot time in each room accordingly.

Went I went a few years back (pre covid), they had a big party and it was a blast!!!! Warning though..... I also spent a ton of money there as between the show special and other discounts the deals were too good to ignore |

Gonna be a great time and the Emotiva room is always great to see.....the theater was great last time I was there and all the new products are awesome......Dan/Lonnie do it right!
