Narrowing down my plans ... I'll be arriving mid-afternoon on the 13th and will stay over on the 16th before visiting a friend and heading home morning of the 17th. Nice to have a leisurely drive and do some visiting on the way out and back.
So .... definitely up for any sort of casual meetup that anyone might be interested in. Any ideas?

Doesn't look good for me. I'll be at the FL house hosting a family reunion for Easter. I'll have to stay after for a week or two to assist with pool/spa reno. Another year that didn't work out.... Scott

That's too bad, but family always comes first. Looks like I won't be buying the first few rounds then!!!

Seriously, have fun and check out the good stuff for me. I'd love to get back to the Von Schweikert room. Those towers were some of the best sound I've ever heard. There was very little room treatment and they were oversized for the room but still sounded killer. Better be for $300k..... *cough*overpriced*cough*

Soooo, as “marcl” suggested above, attendees should have a meet up, I’d say for dinner after the show on Friday?
Also let’s get a running list of those definitely going.
I know myself”LCSeminole” and “jlafrenz” will be there late Friday morning as the show is just getting starting.

I’ve heard/read really good things about Perlisten’s speaker lineup and want to hear them in person. While I’ve pre-ordered dual PSA subs, I’d love to see and experience JTR’s Captivator 2400 and RS1 in person

Looking forward to music from meat and not plastic I attended, if I'm not mistaken, the first Axpona in 2009 and then again in 2010 that were in Jacksonville, FL, so it's been a good bit of time since I went to one. It's probably changed a bit in 13 years, so I'm not sure how its grown in that time, and the format has probably changed a bit as well.

It's got two floors of larger rooms on the lowest levels from end to end. And then there's all the little rooms in the vertical.
Sooo, I like to see the large lower level rooms first, then go all the way to the top floor in the elevator. After going to the rooms of interest on the top floor I take the stairs down to the next level, and so on, and so on. It can take 15-20 minutes for an elevator to show up. One elevator is an express and only goes between the mezzanine and top floor and sometimes the first floor, while the others make more stops so it's like Buddy The Elf pressed every button for every floor.
I only use the elevator again to go down to eat, then back up to where I left off.
Friday is the first run. Saturday is for what I want to see a second time, and it's a much slower day because a buddy comes along and he's like 'ol Uncle Joe, he's a movin' kinda slow, at the Junction, Pettycoat Junction. Sunday is for a third listen or to buy things to get the 20% discount most vendors have at the show.
I have yet to see one of the concerts. The one I wanted the most was in 2020 when Rickie Lee Jones was to perform!!!, until the event was cancelled. But this time I'm interested in going, and, hope the group of us get together for dinners.
The seminar I'd like to attend so far: 2:15pm - 3:15pm Saturday Apr 14 Schaumburg East Stereo Survivors: Meet the Heads of Iconic High-End Audio Companies

The seminar I'd like to attend so far: 2:15pm - 3:15pm Saturday Apr 14 Schaumburg East Stereo Survivors: Meet the Heads of Iconic High-End Audio Companies The Friday performer Anne Bisson looks interesting. I hadn't heard of her, but have listened to a couple of her recordings over the past week. Amber Rubarth on Saturday ... she did an excellent binaural recording with Chesky and it's one of my benchmark 2-channel references. I heard it first at the last audio show I went to in NYC several years ago. I understand there are a couple performers who do audio shows and show up in a room and play along with their recordings ... not quite "Live or Memorex" but definitely interesting. Like the harpist who was at CAF and FLAX, I get to be like Uncle Joe by the second day of anything, but I do the stairs for sure. I'm interested in the speaker designers. No interest at all in the tone arm setups. A couple session slots still TBD ... like, could somebody talk about room treatment and digital correction or is that too 21st century for an audio show?

So it looks like I will be out, unless the weather changes. Have a Lemons race at Pitt that same weekend. Related to the JTR comment, I have a pair of the 4ks with the 240v amp option and OMG they are AMAZING!!! They replaced a pair of Dayton 18s in sealed boxes and they move so much air that you feel a breeze when they hit. Its a crazy experience!!!

Well we're a week out. My plan is the same ... arrive early afternoon on the 13th, and as it turns out I'm staying over to the 17th before visiting a friend and heading home. Good to see a few more exhibitors added to the list. Most notably Theoretica Applied Physics ... a great demo and most definitely NOT snake oil. I plan to spend more time there after having heard the demo at CAF. Also just watched this Trinnov video on their new bass control system and hopefully they will be doing a demo ... all you need is 6-8 subs hung on your front/back walls and $20k worth of Trinnov and the reflections just disappear! www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=gvt9ooUoIZ0Still up for getting together whenever folks want to ...
