Big Dan did confirm this in yesterday's podcast. He said that current RMC-1 owners could trade their unit for a brand new XMC-2+ and their cost would be "500 bucks" ($499). So following that logic, the cost to RMC-1L owners who would prefer an XMC-2+ would be $999.If I see this correctly - RMC-1L owners will get an RMC-1L+ style update to the innards of the XMC-2+ with the same form factor as before. The compromise is esthetic - front panel function, and back panel 'gold thingies'. Upgrade/trade-in cost went from $699 to $999; but includes a 5 year warranty, and a smooth trade-in transition. I'll bite the bullet and trade-in for the RMC-1+. Total cost for my old RMC-1L (with military discount) and the new RMC-1+ will be $5.6K. (Or less if the military discount applies to the Trade-in). Still less than an AV10. I made room in my wire rack for the RMC-1+ 6 months ago. Emotiva - Make the speaker and Sub output modules. Please. All I desire is the Sub output module. The rest will serve more than I need. Edit - I like the Tiffany 'gold thingies'. The RMC-1L > RMC-1+ is the path I have chosen as well. As you know, I wasn't very fond of the initial shock that the RMC-1L "plus" wasn't going to be offered, but I understand and have gotten over it. I've already made plans to "retire" my XSP-1 to make room for the additional height I'll need. Since they're including the Phono card at no additional cost, that decision was much easier for me. I don't think I'll need the additional balanced XLR inputs, but I won't complain. I don't think my new room will accommodate any more speakers beyond what's already included, so channel expansion will be a "wait and see" for me... EDIT: And you know I admire the Tiffany "gold thingies"...

“ The RMC-1L > RMC-1+ is the path I have chosen as well”
Same for me and would be awesome if a streamer was an expansion slot option.

I did not hear any noises during the demo. The switching was also much faster. jim80z - I didn't hear any popping noises at all either the Dream Theater demo or Damon's. Nobody asked about Australia, but Cathy did mention a couple countries outside the US who have fulfillment centers. It's best to call Emotiva directly with country-specific questions. In the past, the site will add new gear once it's in the house to ship. On the Pi, we didn't ask any details on it. Its sole purpose is to run Dirac, and I don't know if it's easily replaced or not. Mark Re noises and such I see the "wrecking crew" also mentioned no unwanted noises etc during the days demonstrations on the latest podcast :-) Re Pi, I have seen the latest comments/pictures on the pi being more than just for DIRAC which makes complete sense to me Re Australia upgrades, I called them this evening and there is nothing decided yet just a general comment that something should be communicated in the next couple of months re possibly using close partner relations within the geo......will wait and see. Thanks Mark.

Thank you @kilnemj for your meticulous note-taking. I know I found it extremely useful as a non-attendee (sadly, this time!) and I'm sure others have too.
@vacutokid, thank you for the pics. Nice to see that most of the regular folks are ageing gracefully! And I love the pics of the hardware and fun jovialities too.
