My son and I have had a tradition of going to the movies and a stop at iHop on the way home since he was 3 (Finding Nemo - THAT was long ago). We both enjoy the Minions so today we went. Meh! Not what we were hoping for or expected. It was like: so what. There were enough Minion Moments to save it.

"Five Days at Memorial" is a mini-series on the AppleTV+ platform. I've just started watching and finished episode 1, very good acting and cast, video is in DolbyVision and audio is Dolby Atmos. Just watching this first episode, with me this mini-series hits way to close to home if you know what I mean(those of you on the Gulf Coast know what I mean). I remember the stress of not knowing exactly where Hurricane Michael would make landfall, a wobble to the east could've meant much more than the 7days without power for my area and was multitudes worse for those that I personally know to the west of where I live. Thus why this hit WAY to close to home knowing that hurricanes like Katrina and Michael can cause so much devastation.  |

Watching this on Disney+ and yes I do have the 4K UHD bluray on pre-order. The Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos are quite good. The Atmos track is quite enveloping, and makes(for a change) decent use of my height speakers and the surrounds are used quite effectively. While I’m an MCU fan, phase 4 has been a disappointment and yes I’ve expected so much more. This movie was average at best(plot-wise)and didn’t take full advantage of a really epic villain in Gorr the God Butcher. Phase 5 needs to be more true to the actual Marvel comic book plots and leave the extraneous crap out. If not, Disney/Marvel will start losing its more loyal fanbase.  |

I just watched this and while I found it entertaining enough with a really good surround work-out, I felt it had a bit too much comedy bits thrown in and obviously Guns 'N Roses got paid for the soundtrack, lol. It's a good movie if you just want to watch something without a lot of deep thinking. Just my .02. |

I felt it had a bit too much comedy bits thrown in I agree, probably because Taika Waititi was a comedian. Although I thought they got the balance of comedy right in Ragnarok. |
