Crummy afternoon here on Long Island. Wife and I just finished watching Jersey Boys for the nth time. Great movie, great music. 👍👍

Happened to be home alone this evening for a couple of hours. I watched again Oblivion, at a "robust" spl 😆.
Walls, windows and doors rattling asides (which added to the enjoyment) I had forgotten how good that movie is. The story, visuals, music, sound, very nice package indeed.

Went to see this at the AMC IMAX yesterday and while my expectations were highly subdued because of the politically injected crap that “Phase 4” had to offer(yes I’m happy to see Bob Iger return as Disney CEO), I was pleasantly surprised to see this movie starting to return to pre-Phase 4 storylines that are based on actual Marvel comics that I grew up reading. I sure hope that the MCU movies will continue to regain its loyal fanbase and keep the political woke crap out of the storylines.

Make plans to miss this one if it all possible!
Tries to be funny? Barely at times. If you enjoy self mutilation, you might get a kick out of it.

Watched a new copy of Die Hard in 4K Blu ray. Obviously a fantastic classic. The black levels alone are worth the upgrade, but the 4K upgrade was better than I expected. Only way you can tell it's an old movie is because of the cars/tech and it not being woke. Oh, and those gas prices.... Audio mix seemed like a good upgrade too.

Ever since Ben Affleck posed as “Batman”, (ad nauseam) and figured, if he Did weight training he would somehow be able to BEAT UP SUPERMAN! ALL bets are off…. The Batman franchise has been beaten to death and nothing can save it.
Michael Keaton with Jack Nicholson is at the top of my list from the 1980s, followed by the Christian Bale trilogy; well crafted and I enjoy those films, but I still think Keaton nailed it for the character overall. My wife and I decided a long time ago to steer away from movies that involve torture. It’s just not entertaining and that’s what the Batman is like. (the most recent) and way too dark. It’s a three hour movie we watched a little over an hour and a half of it last night we will not be finishing it.

The latest movie was too long and drawn out. I think with the right actors and a good script, Batman has a bright future.

I really enjoyed this episode of the Fast & Furious series. Great locations and visual images. And the Atmos soundtrack was very active with admirable bass!

Continuing the racing theme... Good movie. As entertaining as Fast X with similarly good video and soundtrack. Another active Atmos mix!

And...Meg 2: The Trench I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first in the series. Just didn't feel up to par for a Jason Stratham movie.

It's a Native 4K (2160p) disc with Dolby Vision... For a 22 year old movie... it looked and sounded pretty good.

With all the shooting and violence in films of late (and for a long time, actually……) Teased my family about “can’t we just watch Mary Poppins? “ and they called my bluff, thankfully

The storyline speaks for itself, IMO, one of Stephen King’s best. Apparently this movie was natively shot in 4K, which explains why I thought the Dolby Vision processing on this UHD-bluray looks quite good on a movie from 1983. Also a nice job on the audio’s DTS-HD MA 5.1 track.

So how was it? I really enjoyed the first two, does this one live up to those?

So how was it? I really enjoyed the first two, does this one live up those? Indeed, it did…… The only thing is, I was visiting someone and only SAW it, not HEARD it (if you know what I mean) without the home theater envelopment, so we’ll watch it again on our system, but we got lost in it even only watching it on a plain Jane TV set

I can’t remember when Denzel has appeared in any thing but an A-list movie. I’ll be putting this on my to-watch list.

A 5 film set out there for the taking.
