Completely forgot that I had pre-ordered this on Amazon, thus I came home to a package at the front door! I've gotta say, the DTS-HD MA 7.1 track sure makes great use of the rear and side surrounds. How about the subs?? I heard this flick has some SUPER MASSIVE LFE. That true boss??

Underworld 4. Like Nate said, it's a BASS flick with an AWESOME soundtrack. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, but it was worth watching as the LFE's were as you put it, "AWESOME"! Besides you can't go wrong watching Kate Beckinsale.

Last night watched the new Mark Walberg film "Contraband", excellent movie! Got it on eBay in "Like New" condition for only $11.50 on Blu-ray (eBay is ADDICTING for buying BDs - stay away! ). I'd rate this movie like this: Movie: 4.5 out of 5 stars. Good story of an ex smuggler gone clean, but dragged back in for family protection reasons. Well acted, well written & well directed. Picture quality: 4 out of 5 stars. (Superb long distance sharp city pics, but too much 'grain' in close ups IMO. Excellent inky blacks and shadow detail. This is a 'dark' movie! Not 'dark' as in moody, or depressing, but as in color palate). Audio quality (DTS HD MA 5.1): 4 out of 5 stars. Very dynamic & clear sound, but doesn't make nearly as much use of the surrounds as we like. What's there is good though. But there's a low noise floor on this BD - had to run it at -16db to get it to the level I like. (I usually run movies - loud - at around -20db or so). A recommended movie though!@

My daughter and I are in Morgantown WV for Student/Parent orientation for West Virginia University (most impressive college) and we did a double feature tonight at the movies. Movie graphic is linked to Rotten Tomatoes! Marvels - The Avengers - I chuckled all through this movie and it did not take itself too serious. Great time fun for us. Then she wanted to see Dark Shadows with Johnny Depp and did not mention that Eva Green was in it so we were both happy. I liked this too!

Over at that other sight, they have a warning posted about the bass in this movie. It will tear them up if they're not set up right. I need to re watch this one, I think Dirac is set up perfectly now in my cave!! Love It! Love it! Love it!!

Watched the Blu-ray of Beyond the Reach with Michael Douglas. The first 90% was terrific, but it kinda fell apart at the end. Reference video quality of the New Mexico desert, and fine DTS MA surround.

Master & Commander, Dirac blew me away with the sound track of this one. Opening scene was incredible, I believe I have Dirac dialed in just right! I almost got sea sick rounding the Horn!! GEZzzzzzzz what a great indulgence of the senses.
