Any updates on this. I bought the Emotiva Phono Pre-Amp and it brought new life into a very OLD record player. Got the bug for more. I would love to see more info on the Turntable (esp. price range). I for one would be looking at getting the full package, Turntable, Arm, and Cart. I just want something better than my ancient Hitachi direct drive. I have been looking into Pro-Ject and Music Hall stuff, but waiting as Emotiva has consistently gotten the best bang for the buck on all things audio. You must listening the last podcast, if I remember correctly, the new turntable should be available around the second quarter.

I do want to try a turntable, but knowing how little I will be using it will keep my budget tight. Emotiva is going to have to price it very competitively for me to make the purchase. I'm thinking $400-$600 range.

The prototype turntable shown during Emofest appears to be based upon the Clearaudio Concept. This turntable goes for $1400--$2200, depending on the options you choose. The Concept has been an extremely well received TT and reviewers think that it out performs any TT close to it price. Emotiva has not yet established a price for their turntable as they have not yet decided upon the cartridge or cartridges they will offer with it. The rep at Emofest felt that it would likely be priced around $900. Only time will tell when Emotiva will release their offering, as well as what the price will be. Based on the pricing of the Clearaudio TT, Emotiva will be selling a very similar product to the Concept at about half price if you bought it with Clearaudio's name on it. This would make it a huge bargain for such a high quality TT.

I have a feeling the TT will be different than at emofest. The last mention in a podcast said it would be CNC milled if I recall.

I didnt read the responses so excuse me if i end up saying something thats allready been said .
Im a greenhorn when it comes to Emotiva gear & as to what emo's company philosophy is but from what ive read about them a TT wouldnt seem like a product worth them adding to their line up , one reason is that vinyl is a dead medium & a niche market nowdays ,it's never going to make a comeback either , the only thing keeping the market alive is old coots like myself who have extensive collections , a properly set up TT alongside quality clean records do offer a dynamic sound that cd's dont but acquiring that level of playback isnt plug & play instant gratification like cd's & even newer digital formats .
The only way i see where TT's would be a profitable venture would be if emo bought an existing TT , had the manufacturer make a few inexpensive changes somewhere, so it wouldnt be an exact replica , then rebadge it as an Emotiva product , much like what Mcintosh did when the laserdisc novelty blew into home theater .

Everyone said that Emotiva was mad making the ERC-3 CD player. When my kids saw mine arrive they said I had lost my marbles CD is dead.......................... Yeah right!
LP is Dead.......................... Come on!
The sound coming from that ERC-3 is simply AWESOME. I cant believe Emotiva made such a great unit for the price
An Emo TT will be an absolute monster! And not just old coots will be interested. My mid twenties kids and their friends are all buying TTs ( second hand and even low end new audiophile units like ProJect debuts) and scouring the garage sales to get their hands on vintage vinyl.
"Its cool , and it even sounds better than my iPhone" ( ya THINK!!)
Even the bricks and mortar music stores ( yep, still a few around) have growing and in cases massive LP sections, both vintage vinyl and new releases ( Yep on VINYL)
The wheel turns! Cant wait to see the Emotiva TT1!!!!

Nora jones, come away with me
This new vinyl has beat the fidelity out of my TT! What a cheap piece of poop I've been listening to! Not really, but some songs scream,,,,,,,,,,not this TT! Other easier songs sound just fine. I'm really sure my set up is correct but you never know. I have spent a lot of time with this rig,,,,,something's just not right,,,,,,,,,maybe it's just not that good. She has destroyed all my confidence in my Technics SL-23 A lot of music sounds just fine through this TT but Nora's voice is just that dang good!
I'm serious looking at a Rega RP 3 ,,,,,any opinions on this TT? I'll probably go with the Elys 2 cartridge. Don't want to go too deep $ wise and Emotiva wont give a timeline for a table. If they are even thinking of it now,,,,,,,,
If there's news,,I'd really like to know but we all know how that goes!
Any way, she has an amazing voice.
Peace,
Nick

Novisnick you are right
Nora Jones has been my "reference" for systems costing up to $300K ( not mine) "Nightingale" is the track that reveals all.
A good Rega or Project TT with a nice cartridge will just come to life Hurry up Emotiva!
The Faithful can't wait much longer!

I always wanted to get a TT and test it out. One day maybe one day! I looked and the U turn is a heavy supporter of Emotiva by th pics on the site. Looks like a nice basic table to get me started.

Does anyone know and can update on the status of an Emotiva turntable? Is it still in the works, put on a back-burner or been scrapped altogether?

After the XMC-1 saga, I doubt that some info leak from Emotiva before the future products release date. Sorry but I think you'll know only at the release day of the TT.
