Dan and I are in Dusseldorf! The weather was good this afternoon, but looks like more rain tomorrow.
With June 7th a German Holiday, not sure what we will do here if it rains all day. Do any of our German Emotiva lounge members have any suggestions? We would love to hear from you!

Cathy, I am not German but I used to travel to that area of Germany a couple of times a year to a company in Wupertal. One suggestion would be to take the train to Cologne (Koln). Its a nicer city in my opinion and only about 30 miles from Dusseldorf. The famous Koln Cathedral is pretty amazing and there's a ton of cool historical stuff - check out the Fodor's site for other things to do in Cologne. Too bad its not Carnival time because Kologne goes crazy that time of year. Worst case you can go shopping, drink some beer and eat some of the amazing German breads.

Hi Emotiva This is my first entry in this forum :-) As a Dane living in Sweden I am looking forward to possitive news on the opening of a european office soon. When it happens I hope that the prices will be competitive with the prices in the States. It is possible to import Emotiva from the States quite easily so the pricing in EU will be very important. Emotiva - please hurry up and give us europe people a chance to buy your most interesting products (and give us good prices!) Thanks in advance

Dear Emotiva-Europe,
I would like to second swedane on the priorities for Europe because I am aware of some private dealerships/resellers in europe selling e.g. the XDA-1 for 500 Euros i.e. the pricepoint deviates from emotiva principles.
I have imported Emotiva direct from the US with no issues and minimal overhead in terms of shipping costs and taxes so it would be really good if your european operation could maintain Emotiva's impressive performance and value combination this side of the atlantic as well.
Thanks

Hi Emotiva Just building on jayz´s post regarding the prices in Europe. As I see it the prices will be the "make it or break it" for you guys In Denmark and also Sweden we have companies that are willing to handle all transport + VAT + customs for you at very reasonable prices (i.e shopusa.com). I can have an XPA-5 delivered to my door for all in all 1320 $ - meaning I would have to pay approx 420$ in transport + VAT + customs. With that in mind I would say that the selling price in Germany should be just around 1000 € all inclusive (Yes Baby - bring it to papa!!) ;D

I am afraid that you are expecting too much of a discount. Emotiva also will have to pay VAT and customs. They will have to pay the German company that will act as the Euroepan supplier. Shipping within Europe is probably more expensive than in the US.
I think that including European shipping $1200 would be more realistic.
I hope that I am wrong, but prices of other US products in Europe do not give me much hope that buying from Emotiva in Europe will be significantly cheaper than buying from Emotiva US.

Will Emo products ship direct from China to Europe? Will Emo avoid paying US taxes on these products? I don't know but the prices will have to be less than buying from the US site and shipping to your home in Europe. I would buy from the cheapest outlet. Dave.

Hi geertm I am not hoping to buy Emotiva cheaper in Europe that in the States - just not a whole lot more expensive I wrote that my "hoping-price" for a XPA-5 would be 1000 € (euro) approx 1250 US. With that price importing is not so attractive - plus warranty issues would be a lot easier in Germany instead of the US. Regards

Hi Emotiva. I'm from Russia the first on this forum, although technology firms have the Russians and CIS citizens, recently bought xpa200 + usp1. I really like the style of equipment Emotiva, her philosophy. The quality of the device is very good at a reasonable price. I know in your country do not celebrate New Year holiday, as we have, and yet I want to congratulate the whole team Emotiva and all who use the devices from this holiday and wish above all health, and the rest will follow.

Hmm... Maybe we should have a (virtual) world map with (virtual) pushpins for each country where Emotiva have customers. I bet it would cover a lot of ground!
