Theoretically you can never actually be there because once you're there you are actually here!

coming originally from germany and still having a bunch of friends there which are very much involved with audio as end user as well as professional, the common issue is the price point! set aside warranty issues which may or may not come up. just as example i pay $499 for a Stealth DC-1, that little unit comes incl. S&H, taxes and duty to nearly €800 (according to a friend of mine) + endless hassle with customs in germany. result -> buying sth else in that price range readily available in germany. sad!

Sorry but living in Germany myself I must say the statement of your friend is really really wrong. That $499 become about 499€... My UMC-200 for $599 cost me 612€ everything included.

Same goes for BE. Even if the euro-$ conversion is now rather favorable, it was never more than 10% nominal difference. The heavier the more the shipping costs count though. I'd really appreciate some news on the Rotterdam affair!

We are currently working on finalizing all the details for our European branch
Is what Caitlyn mailed me. Info about the opening date will be released here as soon they have it.

I think that the "anxiety" for news is because several of us want to buy Emotiva gear until the end of the year, and don't know if it will be more beneficial to wait and buy in the European store, or, due to the Emotiva sale, order now from the USA ...

Agreed. If I didn't think (wisely or not) that the EU branch opening was "imminent", then I definitely would have purchased a pair of airmotiv 8 for the HT.

Pretty good communication again regarding this topic from Emotiva - as we are used to...

All the logistics involved in a move like this should be very complicated, i think its natural that it could take longer that they are expecting ... And unfortunately "imminent" is a very broad word But it would be positive to know at least if its expected to open until the end of this year.
