Well.. When I CALLED Emotiva back end of September I got told it will be opened within 30 to 60 days. So I'm sorry to say but if it ain't opened by the end of the year, it's not only a communication issue.. It's also poor project planning..
Sorry to bash Emo about all this, but they have to realise we love their products, and sadly have to move on to competitors for repeated issues like these..

Are we there yet?
(now seriously, I expect it to open in time for us to get new Christmas presents. My estimate has always been around the end of November. When I heard in the early October podcast that it'd be a bit over 30 days away, I immediately put in my mind end of November, because something of unforeseen always happens and it'd be easy for the announced date to slip 2/3 weeks)

I would Not! trade my XPR-1 s for anything that I could think of! All new dynamic to whatever speakers you drive with them. I'm in no rush to upgrade my Klipsch KF-28 s. I was before these amps showed up, that's how large the sound it! Highly recommend these amps! Fanboy of these, and I've heard a lot of Emotiva amps.
Hope Europe branch is up and running soon for all you brothers over the pond.
Peace,
Nick

I was waiting for the European branch to be opened. But with the bundle (UMC-200/UPA-700/7RCA) at 799$, i think that even with the taxes, it should be cheaper than in a future European store. I've requested a quote for this bundle yesterday, but so far no response Received the email now, i guess i will join the family soon

Hmmm, hopefully the European branch won't turn out like the XMC-1. Was there actually a year mentioned in the expected date?
Just kidding. I'm anxiously waiting for te European branch tot open. Still in doubt if i will order a dc-1 and it would make the decision a lot easier.

Well, it seems it will happen early next year only. I specifically asked if I should wait and they told me the euro branch won't open before Xmas for sure. :-(

I expected as much. So i've ordered a dc-1 to be shipped to the netherlands. If the Rotterdam warehouse was about to open, i hope they would give a headsup before i placed the order.
So at least all the terrible Christmas songs will sound decent on my set.

I ordered a XDA-2 from the states, but Rotterdam would have been much better. Only 30 minutes drive. On the other hand, then XDA-2 arrived within a week from the States to the Netherland. No complains, except for the duties. I hope the European branch will be there at the time the XMC-1 arrives.

I will be buying nothing until the Rotterdam affair opens! Me too and if it takes to long before the Rotterdam opens and XMC-1 will be delayed again then I'll seriously consider to buy a non Emotiva surround processor. I'm curious what kind of features the upcoming ARCAM AV950 will have...

^ I'm wondering why not more people use just a Oppo 103/105 Blu-ray player. They do speaker/bass management. No processor or AVR needed.

^ I'm wondering why not more people use just a Oppo 103/105 Blu-ray player. They do speaker/bass management. No processor or AVR needed. IMO it's a typical no brainer. The Oppo BDP-103 uses inferior DACs, whereas the Oppo BDP-105 is more expensive than the UMC-200 (even, if you live in Europe), it lacks the astounding Emo-Q Gen 2 feature of the UMC-200, and it lacks the astounding all-analog preamp functionality of the UMC-200.
