Without Emotiva input this thread is regurgitation of speculations and wishful thinking anyways. It seems that Emotiva giving in to releasing bog standard equipment in the past made them too cautious with information where they don't need to be.

Wrote Emotiva an email regarding the European branch. They "expect to have more information after the first of next year".

Wrote Emotiva an email regarding the European branch. They "expect to have more information after the first of next year". In the podcast on october 2nc Cathy said the Warehouse soon was filled up With goods, and that ordering from the "Euroupean Branch" would be ready in 30-35 days! Now 70 days have passed - and now they say more information will be given in 2014??

^ Unfortunately, missing publicly announced deadlines are rather the norm in Emotivaland.

^ Unfortunately, missing publicly announced deadlines are rather the norm in Emotivaland. That is unfortunately the truth, time wise, they rarely lived up to their words lately. I could guess what the problem is causing the delay, but I wouldn't wonder if authorities had a closer look to the "Chinese" products to make sure they all meet European requirements. Anyhow, since we have no news about the XMC-1 either since some time now, all I can say that if the unit is not in production by now, I am pretty sure it will also not be in the shop for February, since Holiday period over years end is a rather dead time, production wise in China.

From the podcast.. about international website buying ability: “very very close from being implemented” Doesn’t say if shipped from Europe, with taxes on top or not.. ?!

Apparently it's dependent on the new site getting finished and going live. It will allow you to order in Euros, USD, CAD, since they're opening a service center in Canada as well. Dan was unable on giving a date on that one since he's not taking care of that process.
So, I guess we'll keep waiting.

I believe the best news from the potcast is that the XMC-1 is going to be built in the US. The new Speaker line seems to be interesting too.

I google "Emotiva Europe" every couple of days. I've been doing it for weeks. My whole HT and 2nd Setup depend on Emotiva finally being available in Europe! Really hoping they start selling End of Jan/Beginning Feb. I can't take another podcast with "news" about the European location.

I don't believe it will ever happen.. I think they will just modify their website to add other shipping destinations and keep shipping from the US... And this makes me sad

I don't believe it will ever happen.. I think they will just modify their website to add other shipping destinations and keep shipping from the US... And this makes me sad The last information said that it was happening, and that they were working on it. I haven't seen anything to contradict that. I suspect it's just taking longer than expected, I'm sure it's a complicated process with lots of potential delays.

I also believe that it will happen. But since the first confirmation that things were finally in motion (2011), until the 30-60 days promised in September if I recall correctly, expectations were high. So it's only understandable that there is some frustration. I had set aside some cash for my Emo Christmas gifts (for myself ), late September, even if it slides to the 60 days that'd be late November, heck, even if it slides to 75 days I'd still get my presents on time. I'll be honest, I ended up spending the money last week on some other stuff since big Dan said in the last podcast he has no idea when the European operation will start, it seems to be dependent of some new Emo site that he doesn't know when it'll be ready. I'll probably buy something from Emotiva eventually, but clearly not all the stuff I was considering back in Sep/Oct/Nov/Dec since I ended up going other places. And yes, I've been around here long enough to know how to interpret "Emotiva time" whenever there is an estimate. I'll keep waiting. I'll be happy whenever it opens. But yes, frustrated and maybe venting a little and surely not going to be as good a customer as I intended. Cheers,
