BTW, if I was setting up a distribution center (without a window anyway), I would be looking for the south of Brussels. Less traffic jams and there's an airport with ample capacity. Brussels "South" as Ryanair calls it. And closer to Erwin's home I might add... As you know Emotiva works with FedEx for shipping China -> Emotiva HQ and Emotiva HQ -> Costumers, hence getting discount prices. If I recall correctly form the podcast, FedEx will be operating the European distribution of Emotiva. Since FedEx's EuroHub is in Amsterdam, I believe that's where all the stocking and shipping will be made at.

I think early next year is the latest date? I think so, yes. I really hope so, I live in Holland. I'm thinking off changing my setup from Denon AVR3311+Denon PMA1500AE too Emotiva XMC1+XPA5. But just buying without listening seems risky too me. To be able to use the 30 days guarantee would be very nice.

Any news about launching EU branch? I'm still holding out on buying XPA-2 since the EU import taxes would almost double the price and would not be competitively priced anymore.

Hah! Are you on the pre-order list? If not, go to the back of the queue! (said in good humour!)

Are there plans to build an office on Easter Island? I'd love to go visit there one day, and I have a feeling I would want to retire there. If I do, it would really be helpful to have an Emotiva Branch on site in case I have issues. Please make it happen. Thanks

Well pre-order lists are normally honoured first. Folks who will use a discount voucher are usually kept to a certain % per production batch who may get pushed back. I don't think you will walk in the door as it will likely just be a distribution centre, so you will still order via the web site and have the unit shipped out. I'd suggest mailing them to get added to the list so with luck they will have enough units produced to cover initial demand.

Did you not see the smilies and the "in humour" comment? FedEx is the carrier of choice BTW - and they are not bad most of the time.
